Trade options based on tonights game...

There are 2 options available before next Tuesday's trade deadline:

1.  Do nothing and use our draft capital on next year's draft.

2.  Make a trade in the next few days.

Option 1 might be the choice if we lose tonight...this will hurt our chances for any thought of a playoff possibility so we can save out draft capital for next year and continue to patch up weak spots.

Option 2 might be the choice if we win tonight helping our chances of getting a playoff spot and use the draft to fill in any weak spots immediately to help push for a playoff spot.  Having a buy this Sunday will give the front office and coaching staff to weigh some possibilities.

Gilmore for a 2nd or 3rd is something I’d consider.... if we win tonight

There is no trade that makes us superbowl contenders. I love this team and like the direction coach Rhule has us headed. We don't need to lose a single draft pick in a mid season effort to be competitive.

The only trades I would consider are for guys 27 or younger with multiple years left on their contract.

If Rhule is the right guy then that’s not gonna be based on whether this year  is a successful season.

Trying to force the issue and validate all these changes for a winning record could hurt us in the long run. I don’t think we’re one guy away.

But I suppose I could be up for it if the value is there. I’m just not eager to give up draft capital.

There isn't many trade options that make sense for us

The last thing we need is to take on more $$ on a contract unless we were getting a STEAL.  Maybe if we were trading someone on our team, but there is nobody that makes sense to trade.  At least not someone that would get us anything worthwhile.

I don't know about that.  I would definitely have that on the list of worries.  Let's see how this ages after tonight.

Depends on who the trade is for, if we got Quinnen Williams for a 3rd it would be worth it, we get better in the interim, and he still has two years and a 5th yr option. That is a good move for us especially with the cap savings moving on from KK provides.

I’m not feeling the Gillmore trade. We need a CB, but I’d prefer a younger/cheaper one to develop now that we have a capable staff.

Stand pat. If we defy logic and somehow make the playoffs with what we have incredible, if not we've already exceeded expectations. Let the draft fall where it may and keep pounding.
