Official Falcons at Panthers Gameday Thread - Part Deux - The Reckoning

What I saw tonight:

  • Our OL would have trouble blocking 4 of us on runs or passes, and would definitely fail if a 5th one of us put down the beer, got off the couch, and joined in the fun.  That is our biggest offensive hole to plug this offseason.  Tonight was bad  even by Panther standards.
  • Our secondary does not understand that defending does not count if you get caught holding to do it.  That is easier to fix than the OL problem.
  • The only 4th down plays we should run involve a punter or kicker, unless there is absolutely no choice.  Since the OL can not block for runs or passes, those are the only plays left.
  • Did we have LBs on the field tonight?  They were barely noticeable most of the game.

This was by far the worst game of the year.  The biggest problem was the Falcons found that blitzing our OL works, especially up the middle, and they were just not capable of doing anything about it.

Last night was how I expected us to be playing like at the beginning of the season.  Rhule coached them up to a degree but there is just only so much "coaching up" you can do when the roster is piss poor and that oline lacks talent.  It will be interesting to see how we handle things from KC and beyond.  I think the falcons showed how easy it was to stop our offense when all you have to do is attack the middle

Oh and whoever the poster was this week arguing that Little is a franchise LT, I hope to God you have seen the light now.  Not only is he not physically capable the mental part of his game is weak as well.  He looked so lost out there all fugging night.  He didnt know the schemes and numerous plays he didnt even hit anyone.
