The dead money is meaningless. It’s the same as if they were kept on the roster. Rather try out PS players than a guy who doesn’t know where to line up and a guy with hamstrings made of wet tissue paper.

I know, just sucks because that’s $20M we could have put into Moton/Moore because we could have rolled it over. It’s just funny how we talk about Matt Kalil’s awful contract and just Short, Apple and Roberts this year were 80% of the total we actually paid Kalil.

Might as well. No need to release them until their salaries got guaranteed. How much did we waste on Apple? $3M. Between him, Short and Roberts we spent $20M for nothing.

We wasted $25M on Matt Kalil but somehow this $20M won’t register. And yet we haven’t talked to Moton. SMH.

For all the wasted money and worthless players the Panthers seem to have year after year you could’ve really built a solid team...resigned Bradberry, signed Moton etc. Same situation when the fan favorites R Kalil, KK, TD and Olsen were extended generously (some after complaining lol) only to sit on the bench or play average clearly racking up retirement/vacation cash. If only we had some sort of sign like a player publicly saying he’d rather go into broadcasting.

If you notice all the perennial contenders usually have the upcoming cap issues with only a few bottom dwellers. It’s telling something is wrong if you’re one of those few teams consistently, the right moves aren’t being made. For instance the Falcons are the only team in the top ten with the least cap space this year doing WORSE than the panthers (in top ten).

But what about next year? Around the top 15 only the Lions and Falcons are expected to do worse than the Panthers. Granted that’s taking into consideration how teams are doing this year which yea is a poor evaluation.

But what about last year or the year before? Digging into the past you’ll see Panthers struggle to keep their head above water paying guys to sit on the couch and scratch tooth and nail for a 4-6 win season and completely get out GMd by the majority of the league.

We can only turn to the browns to be proud.

I like this as approach as opposed to Ron Rivera keeping an Antoine Cason around.

God that guy was absolutely terrible. We nailed every veteran signing going into 2013, and missed on nearly every veteran signing going into 2014.

Apple had a 1 year deal that was under 3 million. That's nothing. You can put lots of money in to Moton but you still have to pay other players too.

the only good thing he ever did was make me laugh when he was playing for the saints and called a giants receiver short and then got injured on the next play and laid in a pathetic pile next to the same receiver

Your details are waaaaaay off.
