Brady dialed up a game winner

I'd say the opportunity was there, especially with the safety taking the underneath. I'd take that matchup.

Samuel had at least a step. All it would have required was for Teddy to lead him just a little.

Had Bridgewater been given time to set up, he probably could have thrown something similar to the touchdown he threw to DJ Moore earlier in the game.

There just wasn't time.

DJ was WIDE open. Curtis was NFL open, but still decently covered. It would've take a well thrown deep ball.

Bridgewater is capable of a well thrown deep ball.

He might not be entirely consistent with it, but he can do it.

To paraphrase Ron Rivera, I'd have taken that shot.

it was a loser because the QB wasn't focused on staying in field goal range and they picked the worst play to not give him a dump option

The way the line fell apart on that play, I'm not sure there was even time for a dump option.

Watch the highlight and start counting at the snap. By the time you get to two, Bridgewater is down.

I don’t feel it’s much of and indictment on Teddy, to be honest I would love to see us draft a good line prospect this year, the simple fact is they are always good to have no matter who they are blocking for, Mister Bridgwater or others. That all being said I always love Carolina at the podium on draft night night, matter who it is I’m always excited for our rookie classes.

Has he ever completed a pass that traveled 50+ yards in the air to a guy who isn't wide open? I honestly don't know, but I haven't seen it.

Final play. Brady called a game winning play. Long TD to Samuel.

Unfortunately, the offensive line fell 2 seconds short.

Oline did fine, Davis missed his block.

Brady Not calling a screen on second down would have been helpful as well

saints too fast for that with Davis and that god awful line

it was over with that failure as it guaranteed an all out blitz in the next play

Here again, play call wasn't that bad.  Execution was terrible.  Paradis missed his block.

Everyone gets caught up in playcalls, more times than not is the execution.

Probably, though I haven't looked it up.

If you watch the bottom of the screen though, you can see Ian Thomas actually was wide open beyond the sticks. So at the very least there was a first down option available if Bridgewater had time.
