There's always some crybaby fool who takes a post by like one person then tries to act like it was something everyone was seriously considering.

Normal people see a post that says trade our 2nd year 22yo DE and just laugh and/or assume it's a troll and not give it any further thought or consideration, not even worth responding to to make fun of to trash talk.

I was saying we should trade burns but I was basing that on the fact he wasn’t getting any sacks and that if he couldn’t work in our scheme we should trade him before he looses his value and we end up getting nothing for him.

Im glad He finally started getting sacks, although our defense as a whole has been doing a horrible job of getting sacks.

Took 2 hours which is longer than we thought but here it is...another example of what some of these people do....like Imma go count the still small minority of people with a dumb idea on a point that dates back to 2001 anyway.

You're the reason I put "like one" instead of a few or "like two". Not that it's a big deal to call your shots around here, so predictable.

Now, I wouldn't trade him for anything that a team would consider. Every player in the league has a price (even guys like Mahomes, Wilson, Jackson, etc.) but Burns is about as close as untouchable as it gets for us. Any price we'd accept, nobody would be willing to pay.

I was one that was critical of the Burns pick but not because of Burns the player. I was critical of Hurney taking a 3-4 OLB for a coach that was on his last leg and trying a new defensive scheme to save his job. Rounds 2-4 in that draft still make me sick to my stomach. 

I'll admit I had doubts about his ability to transition to a 4-3 defensive end and if he wasnt showing the ability to do so, trading him should be a consideration.

Yeah I think that was a reasonable opinion before the season. Obviously now he's proven to be a dominant player in a 4-3 and I don't think anyone has that opinion about him any more.

 

Little still has the potential to be a very solid swing tackle at least, if not a starter once Okung is gone. I'm nowhere near ready to give up on him yet. Miller, who knows. He did show some potential last year but I do think him sitting out this season will hinder his development, but hard to blame Hurney for a guy opting out due to COVID... Grier looked terrible last year and is probably a wasted pick, though it's still possible he can become a decent longer term backup.

That's not been proven yet.  But the kid has some skills and can get after it.  I like what I see that he can do but I'm still cautiously optimistic about his potential.

Hasn't been sustained yet but so far this year he's been a top 5 edge rusher. He's proven to have the ability to play at that level.
