Just Three Elite QB's

Interesting chart but it seems arbitrary how they decided where on the graph is considered elite. I'd say Tannehill looks far more impressive on there than the 3 he boxed. 50% higher expected points added per play than the next highest person and only slightly less accurate than his "elite" group.

What?! He is the fourth best QB in the league with 16 totals tds and only 5 turnovers. 71% completion percentage and 2nd in the league with total passing yards. 6th best passer rating at 108.7

Do you even watch football?

Hmmmm, so do the Texans make the playoffs because Watson's stats are so fugging great or what?

The team is 1-6, regardless. And the sport is about winning games.

Teddy Bridgewater is a game manager.  He can't take a team on his back and propel them to a win despite bad play from other positions.  He can't elevate the people around him.  He loses games at the last moment.

Watson is elite.  Look at his stats.  Ignore his team record.  Its not his fault.  Its everyone elses.  Ignore basically every standard we have in place for Bridgewater.

"Bridgewater can't elevate his team to victory despite bad play unlike Watson, who has elevated his team to a 1-6 record!"

Poll 1000 people before the season started and ask them which team has more talent, Houston or Carolina. What do you think they would say? I'm not going to say Bridgewater is more talented than Watson. What I will say is your argument is clearly flawed.

The topic of this discussion is that chuck states that Watson is just “meh” a qb this year. Not wins or losses.

I am a failure at sarcasm in text format.

I was attempting to show how the critique Bridgewater gets by Panther fans for being a "game manager" and not "elevating the team around him" or "getting wins" is not being applied to Watson.  With Watson we are told to ignore every result but his stats.  With Bridgewater many Panther friends say to ignore his stats, only focus on the end result (games won). With Watson its a team game, and his team is failing him.  With Bridgewater he is supposed to carry his team when they fail him.

Teddy is simply a good QB. That’s it. Why people expend so much effort to convince themselves and others that he is either great or that he sucks is beyond me. He is what he is.

I think people try to evaluate in comparison. Like he’s good, but how many QBs are also or can be good? And for some reason that’s why everyone thinks he isn’t the answer and never wanted him to begin with or move on from him now. That’s their problem.

This isn’t madden. Fact is, outside of a elite franchise QB, he’s about as good as it gets, and those certainly don’t just grow on trees. You’d probably have 2/3 of NFL teams who don’t have a Rodgers, Wilson or Mahomes etc. wishing they had just a good QB.

Down to it, unless the Panthers draft the next franchise QB that morphs into a great, elite QB, it could only get worse than TB.

Lot of our fanbase came from cam. They don’t know the old days. Some never even watched NFL at all. Those are the ones complaining, yet TB is better than most at the hardest position in the game.

My bad, good sir. I nearly asked if that's what you were going for but there's been so much hating on Bridgewater on here, I just assumed you were part of the Huddle choir. Hope you will accept my deepest apologies.
