I'm not just talking about the injuries.

For the vast majority of his career, Newton's development was in the hands of Mike Shula and Ken Dorsey. Oh, and Ron Rivera of course.

Those are not guys you put in charge of shaping a generational talent.

Ok fine...you know if Cam Newton can suit up he plays back then.  There was no alternative plan.  Reality man.

The salary cap and draft are what they are...you cant cherry pick all then-great players 5 years later.  Dumb

Its pretty sickening to me that 2 back to back games against the Broncos hurt his career this much.  Late hits in the Super Bowl uncalled were one thing but the brutality he dealt with in that first game of the season was game changing.  The NFL is protecting QBs mainly because of that game.  That was just immoral and fuggin disgusting

While those games hurt your soul to watch *cringe worthy to the max* this stament makes me wonder if you even watch the games..... The injuries that derailed Cam's career happened vs the Chargers in 2016, Steelers 2018 and the Patriots in the 2019 pre season.

Stop Chuck...jeez...ok one all pro

Chuck got banned again yesterday for threatening to send Varking pecker pics. Now that your attempted deflection is out of the way I have to ask... You realize exaggeration hurts your argument correct?

Again, not talking about damage to his body, damage to his career.

Had Newton gone to a team that knew how to develop a quarterback, who knows?

Ron Rivera's Panthers were not that team.

Ok man...NFL is a tough game.  Cam absolutely thrived regardless of the circumstances and guess what...when you are #1 pick the world is on your shoulders.  That he obtained MVP status only drives home my point.  Cam is a Hall of Famer.

Will add...Cam is on his second team getting all the pressure with little talent around him.

So that guy really is Chuck? I can't keep up with all his alts

Even if he's not, he certainly acts like him

It's not as if anyone cares about your opinion you will be gone soon, I can't stand Chuck yet he is a vastly superior poster in comparison to you.

Report me again for bumping how wrong you were.

But how good could he have been in the right hands?

Let me frame it to you as a yes or no question. We get the number one pick next year and we use it on Trevor Lawrence, but Joe Brady has moved on to a head coaching job.

Would you reach out to Mike Shula and /or Ken Dorsey to offer them the opportunity to develop Lawrence?

Of course...that understandable but a top pick QB rarely walks into a great situation.  If Lawrence goes to the Jets and is an MVP...is he a Hall of Fame caliber player?

Cam is the best player this franchise has seen and I really hope some player bests him,  he was amazing here.

Based on his just being an MVP, no. It'd take way more than that.

IF we would have won the SB instead of just SB appearance I think Cam gets in. As it is now he wont'...the thing is he should have been an easy lock to make it but we had a nice combo of worst owner, OC, and least adaptable coach.

The Panthers north look superior and that was clearly the HC/GM combo we should have had but the owner was our first/main issue he's the one who setup all the nonsense and is the reason we had people like Hurney/Shula.
