Probably not every down, but switching it up constantly can't hurt. or at least play tighter coverage.

When we played man our LBs were even more exposed. Whitehead is fuging awful in man.

I believe in him, the reason I say that is because of the development our young players have shown, Brown, Burns,Gross-Matos and,Chinn not to mention Corn elder coming in to contribute. It seems the me we need some pieces, but overall with some experience and talent added it will be a really great unit, hopefully for a long time.

Everyone on the planet expected this D to be one of the if not the worst defenses in the NFL. They're statistically slightly above average. Snow has them playing WELL above expectations. I've been very pleasantly surprised by Phil Snow.

The parts for a good defense aren’t on the roster at present.. Hell, Snow has actually done a damn good job when you look at that roster. 

No we don't have star defensive players. The Saints didn't play with star receivers either, and we've still been in our games. I think we can win with tighter coverage and better DL play. The saints offensive line was moving out guys where they wanted them.

We only gave up 6 points in the 2nd half. Once again our defense gave our offense a chance and once again the offense couldn't find a way to come through.

We can play better zone than we did Guys were just standing there and then running to the ball. They didn't attack anyone who came into their zone. We should have played more match up zone and it looked very passive. It was poor design and poor execution

It sounds like you're giving Snow a lot more credit than the players. They're playing the game the way their being coached to.

If I didn’t know Rivera was long gone I would have thought that was Rivera’s defense today

We were an awful defense last year, lost a stud in Bradberry and Luke and drafted seven defensive rookies. Miraculously we are in the top half of the nfl in defense though. 
 

Maybe we have so many holes because we have bad players from last year and young players drafted this year all learning to get better as a unit during a covid year without a real offseason or training camp. And again.... somehow we are still better than last year by far.

I don’t think the players are very good. So, yeah. On paper before the season every analyst said our defense was the worst in the NFL. I thought we were the worst in the NFL. And now 7 games in, we’re middle of the pack. That’s insane and Snow deserves the credit.

I'm not saying and haven't said that Snow doesn't deserve credit...but calling our players poo is UNACCEPTABLE...

To Snow’s defence, and I thought he called way too much zone today. He’s not the one out there whiffing tackles. A lot of those play calls look a lot better if we tackled Kamara or one of the receivers 10 yards earlier than when they were actually tackled.
