How many points did we give up today? How many have we given up all year? We were one of the worst defenses in football last year. This year we are in the top half. You guys expect him to make all pros in one year out of a roster that lost its best secondary player and beat linebacker and drafted seven players on defense? And we lost Douglas to help cover this game.

THEY WERE MISSING THEIR TOP 2 RECEIVERS AND BREES IS A SHELL OF HIMSELF.

He has been below average all year, you have to roll the dice and challenge them. No excuses not too. We are not stacked with talent but didnt need to be. We made this game to easy for them.  Bottom line.

Trying to avoid the sack instead tossing it away is a bad decision and cost us that FG. Getting it out of your hands should have been the only option.

He had no time to throw. he had defenders in his face. if he just tosses it out of bounds from the pocket its intentional grounding, assuming he can even get it to the LoS.

It was a really long FG at that point.  Just seemed like the right time for a quick slant. Maybe was covered.  Couldn't see.  Play fell apart very quick though it seemed.

Robby much better in tigheter coverage than D.J., plus he and Teddy have much better chemistry.

Teddy and D.J. are getting more and more consistent together though.

This is true. If Teddy spikes the ball we are tied right now.

The playcall wasn't to spike the ball and absolutely nobody on this forum would have tolerated a spike there.

The Saints beat our OL handily on that play.  Teddy had scrambled out of pressure all game but that wasn't going to happen there.  He didn't have time to throw the ball away.

I know a lot of people won’t like this but this doesn’t truly hurt us. Would have been nice to win but we need 1 or 2 more good drafts and this doesn’t hurt us there. We aren’t a contender yet and our coaches are clearly still a bit green. This is a learning and growing year so if we do that and still get a great draft slot oh well.

I don’t think you know what a below average QB is if you think Brees has been one this year.

Wish I could've seen another shot at that play...did they have an WR running quick slants??

Not sure any play would have mattered.  He was trying to get into position to throw the ball and got swarmed...not even sure it was possible to avoid the sack and with Slye there is no guarantees he makes any FG, even extra points.  Glad he kicked a straight FG for once in his life and it came up a few yards short of a 65 yard boom.....good for him.  This tired narrative that everything is somehow Teddys fault has just gotten old to me.  This game is not on him for sure, look no further than our inexperienced coaches.

We were missing our best CB our second best DE, our LT and McCaffrey. Not a good argument.

This game was winnable,   It some on this board are gonna pleasure themselves to the idea of just being in this game.

it was and we missed opprotunities.

many of those people who are happy with this being in this game also realize the reason we're not winning this game is because we're not a talented team.

We've had more talented teams lose by more vs the Saints under Ron
