This is the type of player Rhule is trying to fill the roster with.  Extremely athletic, fast and smart.

It's amazing he wasn't drafted but give Rhule credit for knowing the athleticism of Franklin.  

Will he make the UDFA team at the end of the season?   I think so.

patience. TD played safety his rookie year and wore 47. Sam is currently wearing 42. I did list this as "hot take" and "TD " type.  After this upcoming off-season of training and nutrition, he could follow suit to LB(he did the same at temple). I sure got TD vibes on back-to-back plays- destroyed screen and hunted down Mahomes. I liked his background and pro-mindset. May not need a LB if Sam keeps on his path and panthers need 4 of them.

If he plays well then keep him at SS. I don't understanding wanting to make every safety in to a linebacker. Hes got prototypical safety size.

Did franklin play all that well the past few weeks? I honestly wasn't paying attention. Nothing really stood out.
