So What A Lot Of People Is Saying That Jake ISN'T A Liability & Doesn't Suck?

Yes

But if Jake played well from the beginning, none of this would be happening really. Nobody has faith in him, and there is no chemistry... something that wouldn't be a problem if he played well from the beginning

What I see in Moore is no Brady or Manning but he comes in the game with an energy and confidence that he can get the job done, and I think everybody on offense feeds off that. With Jake, same ol thing

Ok ok, i got ur point, but, when the oline isnt blocking very good, and recievers aren't making plays on the ball, and coaches aren't letting him pass the ball, yea, I geuss you gotta blame Delhomme.

You think Moore woulda done any better?

Considering his mobility which would allow him to get away from the pressure, you never know. Whether Fox believes Moore is not as good as Delhomme or not, I believe you have to atleast give him a chance. Some players perform better in an actual game than they do in practice.

Delhomme was a career back up before he got his big break in 2003. Who's to say Moore can't make the same progress?

The reason they aren't letting him pass is because they can't trust him. They've never been this conservative with him. Blocking was pretty damn good today if you ask me ocho. Oh and I called that sack and fumble at the end of the game, I knew that poo was coming.

Listen if this was 06, I wouldn't argue Jake give us the best chance to win. That year, just wasn't our luck (Ironic we never have back to back winning seasons) and every time we tried to come back, Jake threw a pick. Maybe if he didn't get hurt, we could have made it to the playoffs, just maybe. He was not nearly as horrible as he is now

We didn't go conservative as much now like with him then. We believed him, and knew he could win for us. Now, that is so far out the window...

The trend of Running plays on 3rd and Long, 3rd and 5, etc...is all about the suckiness that is jake. It dictates the game. Worse, him being horrible has lost all chemistry with the Receivers

Great point. Receivers almost seem confused when they catch the ball now because it's so unexpected.

Jake's role is reduced now. Which has it's pros and cons. Pro, he won't take Carolina out of games early.....Con, it is hurting the chemistry, the ability to have a balanced attack, and makes Carolina even more predictable.

Smitty imo has been horrible this year....and that isn't ALL on Jake. People love to bash Jarrett. I think he has caught 9 of the 12 balls thrown to him. Yes, he choked on that one catch today......but he can be a legit target if Carolina wanted him to be. Smitty has choked/flopped on many plays imo this year....but we spin all of his lack of plays as Jake's fault.

Jake could have Larry Fitzgerald as his #2, Welker as his #3, Antonio Gates as his tight end...and he'd be making all of them look terrible this season too.

Absolutely. He was on target all day outside of one early high ball and a few batted passes. He had several dropped passes which frankly would have made a huge diference. Jake played well today, surely well enough to have the chance to win it. That is one of Davidson't faults, he has a gameplan which isn't fluid enough to account for the ebb and flow of the game which puts the players in the best position to perform on any given Sunday. Earlier games he let us throw when we should have ran, and today we ran when we should have passed.

You couldn't be more off. Jake was all over the pass on his throws and was bailed out by Smith and Barnidge on a couple of horrible throws as well. D-Will's drop in the end zone was just as much Jake's fault as it was DeAngelo's. You have to put touch on the ball when you're throwing to a guy that rarely catches the ball. Jake rocketed it in there.

And like last week, most of his throws were these dink and dump passes that didn't go more than 5 yards.

Several? Name them. The only ones you could make a case for are Marshall and Gamble.

The DeAngelo fumble pretty much sealed the game. The Stewart fumble didn't help much either. The Front 4 got no pressure what so ever barring the sack in the first drive of the Saints. Bree's pretty much could do whatever he wanted, though you could put that on the Defensive Coordinator.

Now we are imagining if he did throw more he would have thrown 3 picks. Great logic here. He threw 30 times and had no interceptions. How many times was it going to take to get three interceptions then? 60 times? Get a grip, he played well and made no mistakes whereas the runin game the whole second half was awful. Whe Jake was give the opportunity to throw the ball at the end, he goes right down the fielld.

And how did those last couple of drives turn out when Jake had the opportunity to throw the ball?

In years past, Panther fans wouldn't have been nervous at all with the Saints going up 23-20 late in the 4th because we knew that, if there's one thing that Jake's good at, it's throwing the ball for a game-winning drive late in the game. He utterly flopped at that today.

oh yeah I hope Matt Moore is a game player just like Jake was when he came to Carolina. But I don't think it's right to thrown him in there in the middle of the season. If they are going to commit to a quarterback, it needs to happen in the Off Season, creates alot more chemistry and alot more trust with the coaching staff.

Yea I had a feeling also, at the goaline, not much anywhere he coulda thrown the ball. Yes blocking was good this game, except for a couple of the sacks, but Beaston was talking about this years performance alone, and Jake has had constant pressure in his face pretty much so far this year. Not saying that offsets the int's, but like Fox says "It is what it is" and "It's not just one guy out there".
