If anything I think there were way more reactionary threads after those first wins... Brady becoming an HC, Mike Davis makes CMC obsolete, etc. Losing/growing is expected this year.

I expected about 6 wins at start of season because I knew that underachieving was due to Ron’s coaching in recent years.   

Now playoffs are within reach, depending on cmc recovery of course.   If he comes back soon and plays as before it could happen.

I don’t think the playoffs are in reach at all. There’s a few games coming up that I think will bring us back down to earth shortly which is good for the future of the team. We don’t want to peak too early like the Rams or Browns did a few years ago. Keep building. Build that hunger.

There is a chance that Brees and Brady will struggle in second half due to age.  Also we could sign competent players to replace those on IR.  And CMC performance factor.  

Its not easy but that’s the formula for the chance at playoffs.
