He's definitely getting the most out of Rasul Douglas...and even Corn Elder's game has improved.

Yeah Elder has been a bit of an unsung hero in our secondary this year. He's been great in his snaps in the slot so far this year. Huge surprise but thrilled about it.

could we be grooming him to take over when Brady leaves?

From CB coach to OC? Highly unlikely, but I guess we've seen weirder things in 2020 alone... More likely he'll be groomed to take over for Snow eventually.

Rasul Douglas has been surprising but he had already started a good number of games in the NFL and played at a decent level. Corn Elder had been a whipping boy. The fact he's anywhere near productive is a miracle. His entire game has improved.

The panthers are what they are this year   At least they have fight and the defense seems improving without kk and with nameless lbs

Bridgewater will be helped when cmc and Curtis return and if and when DJ Moore decides he can and will make the tough catches and run the correct routes that a 1 receiver runs

getting Daley back will help as well, if they ever.do, seems like his status never changes

Bridgewater is what he is however, with protection and with all weapons he is good, otherwise no and that’s 80% of QBs in the league   Not a sin to be in that category

But, he isn’t the ‘make something out of nothing kinda ‘ player

a TE could be his friend in those situations but it appears Brady doesn’t care about those

I do get frustrated when Bridgewater runs.  I swear, if he is going to run, just run but can’t stand those runs where he is inches short leading to a punt OT field goal...  commit or don’t but don’t hesitate

he certainly knows the Saints. The Saints certainly know he and Brady it will be entertaining. The Saints on paper are the better team  I do expect Cam Jordan to have a field day

I'm honestly not seeing that. He ran hard on Sunday, he just ran awkwardly and slowly because he's not a very good runner. I don't think anyone expected him to be much of a threat with his legs.

He also in no way mentioned Hurney in the discussion, tells me how much input he had.

Yep. Does anyone truly think that if Hurney was running the show he'd get rid of Cam and sign Teddy. That was 100% Rhule, maybe with some Tepper influence on letting Cam go too, but not Hurney at all. Still to be seen how it'll play out -- I'd say so far Teddy has been better than Cam this year, though obviously at a much larger cap hit, but neither really look like ideal options for long term franchise starting QB. I'll give Teddy the rest of the season to work to change my mind about that, but as of right now I'm hoping we can draft a young QB high this year (Lance, or one of the other 1st/2nd round guys) and groom him to be the starter. Teddy is the perfect QB to have here to help groom a young QB too, definitely way better than if we had Cam.

I think he's a pretty decent runner and always has been. He does seem a bit hesitant though, most likely something he doesn't even realize and it's just subconscious because of his leg injury. Was he ever anywhere near prime Cam, Murray, Jackson, etc. as a runner? Nope, not even close. But he's had above average mobility similar to a Mahomes or Rodgers.

At the college level there's not a true NFL style personnel department (unless you count recruiting). Personnel management is very tied in with the coaching.

If you've read his past statements, then you know that Rhule wants it that way with the Panthers too.

That's why I think Rhule's longtime friend Pat Stewart becomes the next GM, which effectively means Matt Rhule becomes Emperor of Pantherland.

Making the most of his first NFL job. Could ride the ranks quickly here. Wonder if he will stick with coaching or move to front office. Might be a new Brandon Beane to mentor as a future GM.

He's getting good play out of cast offs and youngsters. I hope he continues coaching for now.

I mostly agree with you but what kills me is when he either decides to back into the tackle because he’s afraid of an impact from the front or he does his version of a spin move. I can’t tell which it’s supposed to be, but he backs into tackles losing precious yards every other time he’s tackled.  Has cost us what would be a first down a few times. But, with that said, he’s moved the ball with his legs better than I ever expected him to and that god tier TD scramble a couple games ago buys him some rope in regards to running the ball with me heh
