Why can't we just stick to our gameplan?

Run first, pass second. That's our gameplan and it was working.

Once we started to pass on first downs in the second half, we would suddenly be 2nd and 10 and trying to convert it with the run. When it didn't work we would throw again and suddenly be 4th and out. Saints would score and we would be forced to throw again...which obviously didn't work.

If our gameplan was working, why change it? I'm not gonna blame this on Delhomme or anyone else (but maybe Jeff Davidson...), but c'mon, sticking to a gameplan that's working can help us win games.

Dude we did stick to the gameplan for most of the game. But when our D started giving up big pass plays and letting the saints score. Before we know it they was tied with us. Plus the reason why Jake throwed more then expected he was going to do is for the simple fact the saints 9 man in the box slowed our running game down quite a bit. Therefore we had no other choice but to throw. Simple fact that after halftime saints made big adjustment to stop our run game and it worked. So we had to throw more. Jake did ok and he didn't cost us the game. But Jake still didn't do enough to help us win. But our main problem was our D was giving up to many big pass plays down the feild point blank.

I thought the play calling was excellent today. It's what we have to do in order to compensate for our lame QB.
Jake did decent but did not do enough for to win. Our main problem for lossing is that peppers as one of the team leaders and over priced guy did not show up like usual. Plus the the rest of the D was giving up majir big plays. We could run all day and it can get us score after score. But when our D started letting brees gash them through the air. I knew it was over. On top of it our coaching staff did nothing to make adjustments to stop brees one bit. Fox and meeks and Jake has to go. Our playoff hopes are pretty much on a thin string now. We pretty much out of playoff range now. So time for Fox to put Moore in. Fox is gone anyway.
