Tied for last with the Jaguars. Probably gonna need more than that to win some more games, but we are at least getting closer to the QB (I think)

It sucks, but I don't know what else we can do.  Our LB corps is not good at all, and the secondary isn't much better, so I doubt sending more of those guys is gonna help.  But, a large part of the problem is almost every team qe've played so far are among the quickest in getting the ball out, so that hasn't helped either.  The Bears all but neutralized Burns by doing so today.

I'd look at a situation where Snow remains on the staff but transitions into a consultant/assistant HC.  He helps Rhule out.

Key is finding that DC and a leader or two at LB and DL.

For sure, Im hoping Rhule will realize that and give up the D too. We shall see. It just feels like our D is holding a gun to its own head right now both ways.

Our linebackers and secondary completely negate any pass rush we have. They have to play so far off the ball that teams are just going to take the 5-7 yards and move along.

Linebacker is a major need next offseason, however, I’m not sure I want to see us take another one in the first.

Pretty clear that we miss Luke. When we had him and Davis teams feared us.

I mentioned it in a later post but some of it is absolutely on facing teams who throw quick.

We put a lot of misfit toys on defense and we’re 3-3 with a DC who’s never been an NFL DC. They’ve exceeded my expectations.

Every time he looks bad he gets strong and every time he looks strong he gets bad.

The bottom line is, he loves 3 man rushes way to much for the NFL + He is soft zone, which could be a symptom of the personnel but I don't buy that in whole. This isn't even bringing in the abysmal rush D, which is on the players more than the scheme but not discounting the scheme completely.

Snow is just way to college for this.

If ATL didn't drop have their passes in the soft zone last week we'd be toast right now. Thats a systemic issue.

Every team goes through things like this though. We’ve been in the top half of defense all year in terms of scoring. Can’t really ask too much if this group. We were one of the worst defenses in the NFL last year, lost Luke and Bradberry and yet we have been remarkably better at keeping people out of the end zone.

I get how people poo themselves when we draft a LB in the first, but Dan Morgan, Thomas Davis, Jon Beason and Luke Kuechly were pretty decent players

Great players but so are guys like lavonte David and Bobby Wagner who were taken in the second.

Teddy is like a Bavette though when we need him to be a flat iron.

We need an aged boneless ribeye (but not too aged and not wagyu, they can be too rich and aren't really worth it IMO)

Well balanced marbelization, a seared medium-rare.
