TEDDY SUCKS

So you’re not making the argument that we struggle to score touchdowns because of Bridgewater, just that we simply struggle to score touchdowns? Wow, quite an astute point there...excellent contribution. Guess we’re in agreement then.

If your shtick is to simply post stats and never have the balls to make any kind of argument that is supported by said stats, then your services are probably better off on a site like Wikipedia instead of a discussion board.

He’s part of the reason we aren’t scoring in the red zone. I provided his red zone accuracy above. Nothing about posting on an Internet forum requires “balls”. What a silly thing to write as an adult. Again, you provided no evidence to disprove what the numbers have shown.

Stats matter.

Teddy Bridgewater is 13/24 for 54.17% completions inside the 20.

Teddy Bridgewater is 6/14 for a 42.86% completions inside the 10.

For the record I not only watch every Panther game every year since I moved here 11 years ago but I’ve attended one regular season game every single year and literally every single home playoff game the Panthers have had since. Pretty sure I’ve posted a picture of me at a game on TV against the Jags during the crazy downpour when everyone went to get dry, my friend and I stayed in the rain in the front row on the 50 yard line and got Olsens wide receiver gloves.

Take note that the post before yours I described a play during the game yesterday where Teddy had one defender to beat before it would be a TD and he took on a defender like he is some sort of power runner and you come back with: it’s always stats without context with him. I provided context. You ignore it. It doesn’t matter what evidence people provide that Teddy currently isn’t showing he is a franchise QB, you just want to talk trash about posters because you can’t argue with the numbers being provided to you. That’s what people do when they have no ground to stand on. They no longer attack your points, they attempt to, inaccurately and ignorantly, attack the poster.

It is obvious that you don't know what it takes to be a franchise quarterback. It is possible for players to have bad days. And to your example of the goal line tackle, Fuller made a better play than Teddy. What you will soon find out, is that Teddy's good days will far out number his bad days, as they have so far in his career.

We have no red zone targets and our line isn't strong enough to get a yard when needed.  These are problems we knew before the season started.  Teddy had a bad game, but there were a lot of factors that went into it and it isn't all on Teddy.

Oh hey I can use PFR too

Last year in the Saints offense, Teddy was 16/25 (64% comp percentage) 125 yard 7tds with 0 ints inside the 20.

Inside the 10? 7/11 41 yards, 5 TDs, 0 ints.

Stats matter but so does context.

You believe through six games Teddy has shown he IS a franchise QB? Where did I say Teddy hasn’t had any good days? I’ve repeatedly said Teddy has been outstanding from 20-20. Many people here have acknowledged that Teddys red zone struggles are a problem and I’ve said it’s the one thing he has to get better at to show he can be the long term QB here. I only believe Teddy has played bad twice this year and it’s not all his fault, but he has contributed. We can’t just simply ignore his red zone production and his horrible TD to INT ratio.

He was a lot better then. If he were closer to that level of play then we likely have two more wins. However, this isn’t 2019 Teddy right now. I never said Teddy wasn’t capable of playing better or being better when it mattered. He’s not been doing it in 2020.

I got clowned because the Panthers beat Kyler Murray, and I said I would've still traded Cam for him and our first rounder added in that year. I said I would still do it. I actually wanted to do it then, because I watched every game of his in College and knew he was electric. Two weeks later, Kyler continues to ball out and Teddy continues to look mediocre-poo. Sigh. Predictable QB is predictable.

Or

Or

The saints have a much better redzone offense than us

Seriously which offense are you taking in the redzone? Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara and Jared Cook (plus their oline)

Or D.J. Moore (who still struggles with press), Cmac (or in this past case, Manhertz) and Chris Manhertz (plus our offensive line)

Teddys success in the redzone last year wasn't solely on him, much like his failures in the redzone this year aren't solely on him. We have struggled in the redzone even before Teddy got here, and the only way he could change that is if he were a Cam/Kyler/Lamar type mobile.

Which doesn't mean replace him with a mobile QB its the only way to fix our redzone woes.

It just means we can improve our Redzone offense lol.

I'd like to see some motion with D.J. and Curt like the Cards used last night on the Kirk TD end around.

Hell I'd like to see us use more presnap in general.

He had 9 completions

Against the Cowboys defense.

That gave up two turnovers on their side of the field.

Did you like...watch the game? Or even peep the box score? If Kyler did that here, with the accuracy struggles he's been having he'd get flamed like a mother fuger here.

They won 38-10. I highly doubt he would get flamed. He's been solid. Didn't throw a pick, and had over 70 yards rushing to boot. As long as you win, and don't turn the ball over, it doesn't matter. Shrugs.

And yes, I watched the whole game.

His accuracy is literally being questioned by Cardinals fans now.

The Cowboys gave up 4 turnovers. Again two of which came inside the 30.

He has as many ints as Teddy. With a much better supporting cast than Teddy.

He threw three of those against the fuging Lions.

To say he's "balling out" is a stretch. The win last night was on the Defense.

I’m not disagreeing that we can fix our red zone issues. I just point out how bad it’s been this year. We are one of the worst. There’s a lot to work on inside the 20 with this team. I have brought this up when talking about Brady as well since he calls the plays. He is a part of it. Teddy is a part of it. I have also never said Teddy couldn’t get better at it this year. Just that up until this point in the season there is no metric, no stat, no eye test moment where people can be realistically convinced he has shown everyone he is a franchise QB. That’s again, not saying he can’t be one, it’s saying at this point through the season he hasn’t shown he is the answer. There’s a lot to improve upon.

In that instance most people will take the Saints offense in the red zone. 9/10 around the league they will take Brees over Teddy as well because he has a long history of leading high scoring teams. Even while people call him washed here on this site he is outperforming Teddy.

We have time to fix our woes. The season isn’t over. The book isn’t closed on Teddy. I just can’t see given that the story going into this season was: We will be horrible on defense but we will put up points because we have talent: but we have been the opposite where our defense has been better than expected and our offense just isn’t scoring... I can’t see where so many on this site have determined he IS a franchise QB already. And there are extremes in this fan base. There are those who will never be convinced and those who are no matter what.

There are some like you who will discuss things that make this place fun to discuss all things Panthers but there are many others whose history of discussion makes them lash out at posters because they have a different opinion.
