Eh, Joe Brady looks like one of the more promising offensive minds in the NFL right now.

If he thinks he can mold Teddy into a legit franchise QB, I am willing to give him time to try. And by time I don't mean 6 games and a 3 and 3 record.

Joe Brady might not be here long enough to mold anybody

Wasn't it 56 yards? Even in the NFL 56 yard fgs are hardly gimmies.

Moore shouldn't have dropped both passes even if they were tough catches.

It might be.  But Slye has the leg strength.  Their guy made a 54? yard kick.

Both kicks were 55yds.

All the kicks from inside 50yds were hit on each side.

He liked him well enough to dump Cam Newton for him.

I don't really believe we'd pass up a first round pick in favor of Bridgewater, but I also don't know that we're going to be in a position to draft one of the first round quarterbacks next year.

If we're not, it's going to be interesting.

Cam looked shot yesterday.  Shoulder and his running ability

You can't mold a deep ball or lack of mobility

Teddy isn’t a rookie. He is playing exactly as he playing in Minnesota and New Orleans.
Brady isn’t going to all of a sudden transform Teddy into someone he’s not. He will always be an conservative, Low TD QB. It is just who he is.

Their D is #9 ours is #11. Not much difference there. Their OL is better than ours when healthy, but I'd take our OL that has had a lot more continuity over the course of the season over their constant shuffle. His receivers are trash while ours are currently one of the better units in the NFL. No arguments on Belichick, but Rhule/Brady has proven to be pretty darn good in a small sample size.

Honestly, our D everyone expected to suck has been outplaying our offense that everyone expected to be pretty good. Deny it if you want, but the QB position is our limiting factor right now.

Everywhere I go I see the Patriots defense average (2-3 different ranking metrics) just outside the top 5 within top 10, Panthers average about 17. I assume that was after this week, prior the Panthers were 20ish.

There are only two eerily consistent things all SB teams from the past decade plus have in common the with few anomalies. ‘Offensive Weapons’  were all over the map (see 2015 panthers). Hell so was QB play. What was similar was oline and defense. Cam has those and a better HC and an easier schedule. I see that as a better situation.

I’ve already said I wouldn’t build around TB. I wouldn’t build around Cam either. I highly doubt the Panthers or Patriots are going to build around these guys as of now, week 6.

The topic was if Cam could do better here than TB. And seeing him play this year and considering all factors I’d have to say not even close. Doesn’t mean TB is doing great.

TB is doing slightly above average compared to the rest of the NFL and also is worth his salary. Cam is doing worse but it’s pretty impossible to say he isn’t worth his puny salary he is. That’s good enough for now. TB fuged up at the end of this game but it was one game.

It really wasn't. The internet is just really prone to whataboutism.

Well that’s where the thread headed and posts I was responding to. Forum sites are about discussion and whataboutism, it’s fun discussion and reasonable to wonder about these particular what if’s.

But it is moot, I don’t think either team is planning a long term future with either player.
