If we are serious about salvaging this season this is a no Brainer. Not having inside pressure on Brees could be the direct reason for Sundays loss. This could change that massively and I would give short his walking papers asap.

It's not about this season. It's about seasons to come. He's only 23 years old and he has two years left on his rookie contract plus a third year option.

Getting this guy for a day three pick is almost certainly a pipe dream. If they're dumb enough to do it we should absolutely take advantage of that.

It's not gaining steam, in fact many more reputable sources have said that they are not shopping him at all (which is more believable). Day 3 pick is retarded, whoever that Chris Trapasso guy is, he's a dumbass. Every team in the league would trade a 2nd rounder for him right now, even the Jets aren't dumb enough to do it for that.

Yeah, the Jets are obviously going to rebuild but a potentially elite DT on a rookie contract is a guy you want to build around, not move for a shitty return. Someone would likely have to offer them a LOT to get him.

Fixed it for you, to your point if he can be had for a 3rd, or 4th you make the deal, KK should be a cap casualty after this season and is 32 years old, this is the kind of move that makes too much sense not to make.

And if you're the Jets don't trade him to an obvious contender or a team in the AFC, send him to a team like CAR who is likely not a playoff team who should have the higher pick versus other suitors.

Yep, brain fart on my part. I was just think past this season. He'd have two more years on his contract plus another option year after that.

KK should've been a cap casualty before THIS season. Him being gone this coming off-season should be a foregone conclusion. Well, should be.

Would be awesome for a few years until we have to pay Burns and Quinnen, then Brown Chinn  and YGM. Only the Saints have that kind of money.

I mean obviously you have to pay good players man I don’t think that’s an issue haha. Like what are we supposed to get bad players so we can pay them minimum contracts?

We’d be giving up a 2nd for a guy drafted top 3 a year ago, him beside brown would set the defense up for the next 4-5 years. We can then focus on lb,cb or s next offseason.

if reports are true I think it’s a no brainer for where we are with Burns, ygm and brown

This gets me so excited just imagining all four of them in their prime together, that’s  just downright scary.

It will take multiple picks. Im sure one of them being a second. Just be depends on the demand. If they move him it would be the highest bidder. If your willing to move a 2 you might as well go the distance with a 4-7 behind it. I would do it. What do we have coming. Back in the form of compensational picks? All that we moved this off-season we have to have something..

And I know we signed a few guys but the loss of addision mccoy, bradberry, irving so on has to yield something we can throw at them.
