Dude is hidden taking on double teams in a 3-4 just to keep the LBs clean. Bring him here and plug him in across from Brown. Burns outside, YGM comes back. Can’t double team everyone. That is a very good and very young line. It also narrows the scope of our needs come draft and FA. Mark DT off the list. Draft LB, S, and oline and let the dynasty begin.

Man oh man!   If we could trade for this guy and put him next to Brown, then call the Vikings about MLB Kendricks, this defense could become nasty real quick. The Vikings just traded a guy they traded for a couple months ago, they are not winning anytime soon, and are in cap hell. It would make sense for them to have a fire sale at this point.

I realize Williams is a great player and would thrive on our D but our rookies are also thriving and we will have many needs and holes to fill after this season (multiple OL’s, MLB, TE, all our WR’s except DJ and Robbie are free agents and so is Mike Davis). Yes some will be re-signed but Moton alone will cost us a lot of our cap space. We need those early picks.

^^this

If Hurndawg has a chance to get him for a 2nd rounder and passes he needs to get fired.  (probably does anyway but)

I appreciate your points, but I also look at it from this angle...  Today, Snow cited Burns, Brown, and Obada as rising stars and who we can essentially infer to be our young core moving forward.  That's 3 guys...  If we can add Williams, plus YGM, that's at least a full front 4, potentially 5.  And if it could be done, all would be on rookie/affordable contracts.  If that's available to us for a 2nd rounder, I'd say we have to do this.
