I knew our country was in trouble when this pandemic started and people started picking sides. Our country has always been able to put aside our differences and work together as Americans to over come obstacles (generally speaking), disasters, etc - but when you have educated, privileged people getting in fights at Costco and coughing on people on purpose because a store employee asked them wear a mask - not good.

Once you have it, it doesn't go away. It leaves antibody traces the way chickenpox does. 

 

We simply cannot know the full effect of covid-19 for at least 20-30 years. It doesn't really come back cause it never leaves.

 

I Got sick June 22nd. Tested positive July 1st, got better, got sick again and developed pneumonia, retested July 16th, still positive. Went back after symptoms came back in August around the 12th, still positive. I have antibodies from the virus but still get sick from the symptoms all the time. Can't go to my PCP, have to go to urgent care or ER or a RCC if I need a Dr. 

 

 

People who get this and have no symptoms, may well get sick a month or two later and get this just as bad as me.

The internet has been the best and worst thing that's ever happened to humanity. It's a great highway of information, but also a great highway of disinformation. It's also allowed all the village idiots to find each other and normalize their idiocy. Pressure from the internet stealing their audience has pushed a lot of other traditional media sources closer and closer to the fringes and getting looser and looser with the facts. Then hit us with social media and give everyone a platform and, yep... here we are.

You do realize COVID-19 isn't only affecting the United States.... right?

Damn near every country has put in precautions to try and limit the spread.  If anything, the United States has been the least reactive.  And, shocker, American's are dying at far higher rates due to COVID than other countries too.
