I simply don’t believe the numbers and think they are inflated. Do not mistake that for me being callous, if I truly believed that 215k people really died directly from Covid then it would be different. Obviously I don’t want anyone to die and truly feel for the family members but I fundamentally believe that a huge portion of those deaths are people who died WITH Covid, not FROM Covid. Big difference

If a medium size city was wiped off the map by a natural disaster tomorrow it would be the single greatest tragedy in the history of the country. It would rock us to our very core. But spread those deaths across the country and over the course of 7 or 8 months and evidently it's a "nothing burger" and a hoax. Some people are really quite stupid, then you mix in things like politics and it's gas on the fire.

Again, IF you believe the numbers, I don’t. I don’t think 215k are purely Covid deaths. I also believe a huge majority of those deaths are people who died WITH Covid and not FROM Covid. Huge difference. For example, a 85 year old who was on hospice and die to die within days from a totally unrelated condition, happens to catch Covid before they died. They consider that a Covid death, it’s very misleading

Everyone dies from the same thing. Cardiac arrest and no brain activity. There's a lot of different ways for that to happen though. AIDS never directly killed anyone. It just left the body unable to fight off disease. Flu deaths are usually caused by a secondary pneumonia but that pneumonia would've never developed had the person not had the flu.

You just arrived at a predetermined conclusion based on political beliefs.

Asymptomatic is no guarantee that there won't be negative long-term outcomes, outcomes that we have no way of estimating. That's the point that gets lost when the focus is placed too finely on fatalities and hospitalizations.

To relate this to the NFL many athletes appear to be low-symptom or asymptomatic, making it even more important to test since they may not know. This is on top of the health risks to the other members of the organization.

I vote we disband that disease laden filth of a franchise then nuke them from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

No no no... NO NUKES... Against my will I live here. My parents abandoned me and my brother down in this hell hole as soon as we were both of legal age and I can't afford to move right now lol.

there's also 2 confirmed and studied cases of reinfection in the states, both getting it worse than the first time.  2 slightly different strains.  its possible, thru something called enhancement, which maybe peonawesome can explain when he's not saving people, that your immune system can become primed for it to devastate you the 2nd time.

Come on man, how many asymptomatic cases are you going to have to hear about before you start realizing that hey, yes this is dangerous for a very small % of Americans, but for the overwhelming vast majority, it’s not dangerous

This is simply not true. And I guess by your logic the small % it’s dangerous to is fine as long as it doesn’t effect anyone in your family. #HuddleLogic

Stop believing and start thinking. I'm not one to play semantics very often, but in certain cases I do think that specific language gives a window into a person's mind. As soon as I see "believe" instead of "think", I already know I'm dealing with opinion based on emotion rather than logic.

Thankfully for us and the rest of the civilized world it doesn’t matter what YOU believe. You are a part of the problem.

that figure is 75k short of the actual total.  its at least 290,000 so far.

john's hopkins is a reliable source

Don’t believe it. Again, died FROM Covid versus dying WITH Covid, big difference. Also, according to CDC up to 10x more people have had Covid then the tests would indicate. That would mean 80 million Americans, 290k out of 80 million is roughly 0.38% infection Fatality Rate
