Hard to catch Jake's passes when your not 6' 7"

How many WR's do we have that are that tall?

Plus I agree with what another poster said, I think the WRs aren't trying.

Jake hangs them out to dry with so many bad passes, they deem it not worthy to put themselves on the line anymore.

He leads them straight into defenders or makes them leave their feet for a circus catch. Dont blame em really.

I agree, but Dwayne had some key drops in the game as well. He's just worthless no matter who is at QB. This team needs a #2 and 3 receiver just as much as they need a QB.

There is no question that the problem was poor playcalling today. We all know that Davidson was going to run at all costs to keep pressure off Jake because Davidson doesn't trust him to win the game like last year. But Davidson has to have a connection with Jake and know when to put the ball in his hands and when not to. Jake was on target and except for a first quarter overthrow was putting the ball in good position today. Davidson has to recognize that. When Jake is struggling he has to change his playcalling in order to protect him. On the other side, when Jake who is streaky gets on, he needs to let him throw it especally when we are behind. And today he was more than capable to win it in the end.

The playcalling sucks because they dont have a QB to work with. They had the same exact game plan that they used last week. You can only hide Jake for so long.

Not hardly, how many Saints WR have you heard of before Brees was their QB. As a Matter of fact, how many Saints WR's would be worth a poo on any other team?

Before the Pats had Welker and Moss, who were the awesome WR's playing for the Pats?

Name the all star MVP WR's from their SB's.

This was obviously Jake's fault, and anyone that can't see that is an idiot, sorry to say. Our pussy ass conservative playcalling was directly attributed to jakes inability to play QB. Running on 3rd and 12's, 3rd and 10's, 3rd and 7's, are you kidding me ??? If we can't trust our QB to convert a 3rd and long, then this is going to be a long season. Our running game was effective for a while, but once the Saints found out that we have no interest in throwing the ball, they stuffed the run. We allowed the Saints to get back in the game b/c Jake couldn't make the plays himself, so to think this loss is not b/c of Jake is asinine, end of story.

sad that there are so many jake haters that they can't see through the truth....haters please look back on your dvr's and see the balls that hit recievers in the hands shoulda been catches and were dropped....no int's......these same guys want to try so hard and beat the same dead horse of Delhomme but it won'[t work this game...remember at the end of the day Davidson is calling the plays with Fox with final say-so......we were so close really blueprint could be had for another team....but if coaches would have put more for Smith or a few other changes and not DeAngelo fumble would have been a different game

Those passes that were right in the receivers hands were Delhommes fault, I know, as crazy as it may sound. As a QB, you have to know when to put mustard on a ball, and when to use touch. Yeah there were a couple of drops, but when your trying to throw a 5 yard pass, you don't throw it as hard as you possibly can. That's all Delhomme does. He overshoots all his WR's, throws high, and when he makes a good read, he'll throw it as hard as he can. Those passes to D-will, although on target, are extremely hard to make b/c there's very little reaction time. Delhomme simply has forgotten how to play QB, and we need a change ASAP.

Exactly. It seems people are stuck in the past and fail to see when things turn around. Sure Jake could suck down the road but he didn't today. In fact from what I saw he might be getting his mojo back somewhat. If he comes out playing well against the Falcons, I hope Davidson will let him make plays instead of holding him back. If he struggles again, then we need to dial it back and run the ball. THE OC needs to be in a rhythm with the QB and protect when needed and other times let him throw it when he gets hot. Jake is streaky and will have ups and down. Davidson needs to account for that.
