We can designate him a post June 1 cut next year and save 27 million on the cap for the next two years, but there will be over 17 million in dead cap over the next 4 years.  I suppose an injury settlement could help that, but a lot if guaranteed money.

I love KK he was instrumental to our 2015 run. 

But man these two injuries are tough, not his fault at all, just can't see us sticking with his contract past this season. 

 

That being said I feel like he still had a little something on obvious passing downs and would have been really nice to have him this season if we do end up competing for the playoffs

Not sure of the cap implications, but if it's makes sense, I'd dump him right now and free up the cap space to try to pick up an elite player before the trade deadline.  There's gotta be someone good out there with a bloated contract that a team is willing to let go for less than they're worth.

Short being gone leaves us with only three players remaining from the 2015 season: Shaq Thompson, Tre Boston and JJ Jansen.
