It really should be. Do something for the "Pro Bowl" but it doesn't need to be an actual football game. I thought the old skills competition was a lot more interesting than any actual Pro Bowl game

They should still assign the rosters and give the players a trip to somewhere but even the skills competitions are not worth watching

If you think about it only baseball has an All-Star game worth watching.  Just like the NFL the NBA and NHL usually are high score with not much defense.

I do think it is important to identify Pro Bowlers because when their careers are over it is a factor many voters use.

Of course, ALL-Pro is top priority for any player, but Pro Bowler is another factor.

The skills challenges they do are more fun to watch than the Pro Bowl anyway.
