CMC for Le'Veon Bell & 1st Round Pick & More?

For the record I personally wouldn't make the trade.  For the same reasons why the Jets would hypothetically want CMC, is why I would want him here for the long haul.  He's proven yet young, and the draft continues to be a crapshoot at all positions in that 1st round, especially the Top 10.

While the Panthers are showing the ability to win with a strong offense without McCaffrey, I look at CMC's return as adding a machine gun to an already strong arsenal, and will put us over the top.  He'll adjust and will fit in to what they're already doing, and not break our chemistry at all.  Panthers will finish the season as one of the strongest and most respected offenses in the NFL, and CMC will be a big reason for that.

They actually didn't do the release yet, they just announced their intentions publicly because they're so done with him. In this transaction i propose the strength for us comes in the trade pick(s), Bell is sort of gravy to this deal, as a risk with a high payoff potential.

Look up how the cap works... Seriously every other looney tune aspect of this trade is irrelevant for that alone.

There's a lot of projection going on with the idea of Trevor Lawrence as a Jet.  Jets and their fans aren't seeing Lawrence as necessary as many of you do.  Sam Darnold is in Year 3, and nearly all Jets fans view Gase as the problem and those that don't see Gase, it's the GM, or the o-line, or a million other things.  Sam Darnold isn't Mitch Trubisky.  there's no division in Jetsland within the team, the fans, or players.  They still believe Darnold is their guy.

as for being guaranteed the #1 pick come on.  Washington, the Jaguars, Lions, and several other teams are all working just as hard to lose games, and they all clearly want Trevor Lawrence.

They took him off their roster list.

Jets tried trading him. No one bit.

I like Bell, he is going to be a good back for some team ( Not this one ). My wife is a Jets fan, so I've been checking out their subreddits etc... Bell is a leader on that team and he worked his ass off these last two years. Gase just sucks. Last year he didn't use Bell or if he did he didn't put him in any position to succeed. Bad Oline and he just ran him up the gut constantly. This year Bell was ready to go but again wasn't used. Gase is also know to believe that soft tissue injuries are not a big deal. So when Lev got hurt this off season, he just kept pushing him to practice/play until he hurt himself again. Now they release him.

There now you have a bunch of useless information on Lev Bell.

if i understand you right, you're saying the Jets would draft Lawrence and dump Darnold?  I don't think there's any evidence the Jets want to move on from Sam.

New GM and New coach will be coming in, therefore they will want their own roster. Darnold has done very little to prove he can be a franchise qb. If you look back at the history of new coach/gm combos with their first picks ---  you'll see they chose a quarterback.
