To be fair, he certainly missed the one in the lower image, but we don't get a complete picture in the other. Depending upon where he was, his sight may have been obstructed. In any event, I'm fairly certain that QBs miss a handful each game. It gets rough back there sometimes.

The safety did a good job at disguising the blitz here. Teddy immediately went to the right side of the field once the ball was snapped where his first progression was. Once he did that he had to commit to Robby or take the sack.

I’m sure he kicked himself on the sideline after seeing it again

Ball is already in the air for the first one.  Teddy didn't recognize the blitzer pre-snap and first read was to the other side of the field in the second.

The FS is also in a full sprint to cover him. Still a window to hit the throw but not nearly as wide open as the still image would have you believe.

These frankly look like straight broken coverages. No deep man for an entire half of the field for a zone look while three falcons cover a small area in the center in both. Teddy may have made the right reads at the outset until the falcon’s defender did something inexplicable.

Either way, this is fixable in the film room. From everything we’ve heard Matt Rhule say about Teddy’s football knowledge and appreciation of film, I’m optimistic this improves as offensive chemistry continues to build.
