Heck when I was a kid, homeschooling wasn't really even a thing. Sure as hell didn't have online classes.

Unless the Chargers muff a onside kick, that crown is going to belong to the Falcons for a long time.

When I got to high school, they told me I could use a calculator. I didn't want to. Felt like cheating...

I was using a slide rule when the first Texas Instruments calculator came out.  I was really happy to use it.  My objection is them not learning to do simple math on the fly.

GPS is the ultimate crutch these days that if it goes out or some young person is in the middle of nowhere and can't get satellites in range, they will be completely 100% lost. Young people who drive really need to learn at the very least how to keep track of where they generally are, how to go in a certain direction with a compass (built into all cars these days and seems easy but you'd be surprised...), and also how the highway system works. Not just rely on "turn left in 3 miles."

Kind of like the calculator.  How are they going to know if it's wrong?
