Whiffle ball, stick ball, football, street hockey....no video games at all. I remember what a big deal it was when the first ping pong game came out.

Kick ball.  And the first pong game, OMG!

When electronic football came out, I was amazed. But electric football was just as fun in some ways.

First game I ever watched was this one.

I remember watching Staubach and Pearson. Also Bradshaw, Swann and Stallworth, Franco Harris and that defense in Pittsburgh. Tarkenton in Minnesota, Stabler in Oakland...

Good memories.

Baseball, football basketball bike riding, sled riding, and of course trying to duplicate Evel Knievel's stunts...

Guys like us predate Microsoft, Google, Atari, the internet, giant flat screen TVs, and GPS was a paper map :)

Give me some plywood and cinder blocks and we'd make some ramps in a minute. Our Huffy bikes would be airborne a minute later.

I used to have that Evil Knievel toy also.

My parents bought me that. It had the Raiders and the Vikings cause they were the previous year's Super Bowl teams.

What I remember most about that particular Super Bowl is making a bet with my brother because he was sure the Vikings would win. Shamelessly rubbed his face in it when I was right :)

If you have an older brother, you know how good it felt the first time you beat them at something.

My son asked me, "What do I need a map for when I have Siri!"

I just shook my head.
