How could you say the line was trash when we had never seen them play before.  Also you were way off on Teddy. I thought the Defense would be good enough.  It seems you just dont know how to look at the paper

Literally nobody thought our defense would be anywhere near good enough. One of the worst in the league last season, lost about 150 years of veteran experience, oh and a HOF mlb...

I'm calling bs. Quote the post where you said it and I'll eat my crow.

I'm not going through all my posts, but I was one of the few who thought this team could be decent this year. The guy i was quoting most likely remembers me saying it because we argued a lot in the off season@

I think you're thinking of someone else. I literally never argued with you until the first game, or shortly before that. LOL.

And no, you never said anything about the defense. At one point, you believed they would win 5 games tops. This revisionist bull poo is laughable. Now everyone that wanted a QB was just blatantly wrong, although no one saw them winning like this or the NFL being this bad at the bottom. Now people predicted the defense to be good? GETOH.

There's a difference between thinking the team will be decent and thinking the defense will improve to a point where in relative rankings it is higher than the offense in some categories.  The defense has, to me and many others, been a real surprise and an actual strength over the last few weeks.  Quite a turn around.  Many of us expected our games to all be high scoring affairs where our chance was the last possession, like in week 1 (and to a lesser extent week 2 - imo that was more on Teddy than the D).

Maybe you knew they'd be this good, and props to you if so.

I could watch that video on a loop :)

I'm convinced Pete Rozelle knew exactly what was coming when he announced Ken O'Brien's name. He paused after saying "quarterback" just to troll the Jet fans.

Ken O'Brien wasn't a bad QB though, he was in the league around 10 years.

Granted. He wasn't Dan Marino though.

I have a buddy who's very football knowledgeable that always insisted Kyle Brady wasn't a bad choice and he was a good tight end. And while he may have been right, it's also still true that he wasn't Warren Sapp.

Ya, I was going to say Brady was a good TE also, lol. I guess your right, they passed up on Marino and Sapp. However, the choices were not horrible though.

No I didnt say that. I thought they would be better than last year, which many in here laughed at me when I suggested it

Ahh.  That is an incredibly low bar given how bad they were last year, but there was a lot of negativity here this off-season.  I didn't expect much improvement but given it felt like by the end of the season the defense was a wet paper bag, I hoped we wouldn't be worse. Heh.
