Falcons Officially fire Head Coach AND General Manager

Dimitroff in my opinion is the only reason the Falcons didn't implode every year. He was really good at the books and keeping overall talent. Not saying he is a wizard like down in NO but Quinn always had talent and depth.

Imagine spending millions building a team for 8 years under the same system and then watching your rival come in with a rookie head coach and a roster full of cast offs and rookies systematically beat your ass.

Their downfall is so eerily similar to the Panthers and Ron Rivera. While they didn’t fall apart as fast as the Panthers did after their Superbowl loss, Dan Quinn fired his coordinators after 2018, hired a new offensive coordinator and took over defensive play calling. Sound familiar?

I didn't realize Dimitroff had been in charge of the Falcons for as long as he had (since 2008).

His now removed bio page on the Falcons website listed him as one of the longest tenders general managers in the league.

Not so much now...
