Steve Smith = Headcase

lol... I was trying to figure out who Smitty was yelling at after that late hit out of bounds on Sharper. I thought one of the Saints guys was still on our sideline at first... But, there wasn't. After saying something to Sharper in passing, I now believe after watching the replay several times over he was going after and cussing out Davidson.

If you look at the replay, if I read his lips correctly he screamed "Don't call that dumb ass play again," or something along those lines. I clearly saw "call... dumb/stupid ass... play" Can't remember if that it was stupid or dumb he said, but it was definitely one of them.

Would it have been an issue had he not been hit late? Would it have been a dumb ass play then? I think he was pissed b/c it was a cheap shot and after realizing he would get thrown out if he went after one of their guys he had to channel his anger towards someone. I'm guessing from his outburst earlier in the year that he may have a lingering issue with Davidson.

He's obviously lost it. He wants the ball, then when he gets it, he loses his mind. I agree that if there werent the late hit, he wouldnt have said a word. I've agreed 100% with everything he's said off the field so far this season, but I think he went too far with this reaction.

He did that in another game too. Davidson puts Steve out there to get destroyed too often with those pansy dump passes.

the smoke route is just as bad as the wildcat... if you are going to call a smoke route of any kind, it needs to be a fake if you are expecting to gain any yards...

and I'm glad someone is telling Davidson his play calling sucks...

Jake is leading our WR into potential big shots. That has been a problem all year. He sets them up for a boom, and they are obviously tired of it.
