Teddy could be our guy for the next 10 years.

I think Teddy is great for this year and next.. MAYBE 2022. I really hope we draft the next guy this year or next and let him sit with Teddy for at least one year. I also hope we're smart enough to go ahead and get the next Joe Brady on the coaching staff. He won't be here much longer, let's go ahead and knowledge transfer as much as possible so we can be next man up.

He’s been playing very well and seems to have a good rapport with the squad and Rhule.  A lot of it depends on what happens for the rest of the year and how the draft plays out.  At a minimum, at least we know we have a solid starter for next year.  Nothing is set in stone yet.  I like what I’ve seen so far, though.

I think the picture for what we're going to do is becoming more clear. With Teddy you're going to get the short and mid-level passes at a high level. He'll be way off on some of the deep throws and that's not his thing. What you have to do to make up for the lack of explosive deep passes down field is to take that away from your opposition. That comes from having an elite pass rush on the defensive side of the ball. If you can take away, or prevent the opposing team from going deep consistently, then you create a Teddy versus opposing QB short to mid-level passing contest. We would win most games that come down to that all things being equal.

Now there are a lot of different elements to football, and I'm not trying to oversimplify things, but I'd like to make a guess as to our next move. I wouldn't be shocked at all if we draft another pass top level pass rushing d-lineman.

I really want to see what he looks like going against actual Super Bowl contenders. Right now we beat an injured Chargers, injured Cardinals and an injured, both physically and emotionally, Falcons. Bears have a Super Bowl caliber defense with a ho hum offense. So that should be a first good test. But the real test will be the Packers and Chiefs. If we can hang with them or beat them then I may actually start changing my opinion of Teddy. Maybe.

Is this type of offense sustainable for a playoff run? Saints have a similar offense and a QB that throws a lot of intermediate passes and checkdowns. They have lost in the playoffs 3 season in a row. Some offenses look good during the season and then sputter our once the playoffs start. Kinda like Alex Smith, Chiefs would always look like Super Bowl contenders and then in the Playoffs they would lose in the first or second round. There are still a ton of questions regarding Bridgewater.

The Bears defense is not elite.... these guy's aren't the 2015 Broncos or 2012 Seahawks on defense they are marginally better statically than the Panthers.

Teddy is a cheat code.  Every guy on the offense gets +2 rating when Teddy is there.  His charisma is through the roof.  How can you hate this guy that is always smiling at you and wanting to make the team better?  Build the super team and Teddy will just be the director.  We are the closest thing to the Aikman Cowboys to ever existed.
