yes they did, they pointed out it happened multiple times last season. that is a direct response to "when did our starting rb last rush for more than 6 yards per carry?"

no it’s not. if i asked when the last time the chiefs lost a game, you wouldn’t respond with “oh they lost several times last year” you would identify the week they last lost. that is the last time they lost. come on smart guy, you’re better than this. or at least you like to portray yourself that way.

and btw plenty of us are prisoners of the moment as a hole

some curiously more selectively than others. again, you don’t have to come to their defense. that’s a choice.

actually if your question was "when did the chiefs lose a game last?" "sometime last year" is an answer that is correct.  but a more similar question would have been "these chiefs have put 32 points in this game, when was the last time we saw a Chiefs team do that?" the answer "six times last year" would also be appropriate.  it isn't the exact answer, but it provides you with an answer all the same.

why not just say what you mean instead of trying to trap people?

edit: and btw I actually ask questions of you because once in a while you have a decent point to make.

but you've become one of those posters that interprets responses to your posts as attacks it seems, or it seems that way since you keep responding to my posts with references to 'defending them'.

Having Julio out definitely helped us, but he doesn't look like the same QB from 2016.

He has never had what we would call a strong arm, but he made good decisions and was accurate on the medium range stuff.  This year, not so much.  Atlanta might legitimately start to think about getting a qb.  If they do though, Matt's cap hit  is going to hamstring them for a few years to come.

actually it’s not. if i ask “when is the last time a new state joined the union” and you said “sometime in the last century” you’re getting a big red x next to that one on your test mav. and if i ask “when is the last time the starting running back carried for 6 yards per attempt” and you take the time to look it up and choose to say “uh actually multiple times” instead of correctly identifying the 8th game of last year’s season as the last time that it happened then you’re also getting the big red x.

again, you don’t have to defend these people. that’s a choice.

the reality is this is a football forum and not an exam period, so nobody is going to give you the perfect answer you want.  but regardless, I didn't catch how that poster was proving your point about... well, much of anything.  I'm not trying to defend him, I was trying to understand your post.

I didn't get why you seemed to be calling out people's enthusiasm for Mike Davis and reminding them about CMC.  Your actual post: "when is the last time the starting running back carried for 6 yards per attempt"  my thought: "well GJBC is actually intelligent enough to know we had this happen multiple times last year with our other starting RB. so, he must be highlighting people's enthusiasm for Davis for some reason."

so I wrote my post, and your response was you wanted to highlight people's agendas etc... fair enough, but I don't think your post did what you intended.  then again, I don't track people's agendas, so maybe it did?  Philly's latest thread is pretty hilarious though lol

Was game a nail biter? Last score i seen was 20-10 and Atl was in redzone, i had to turn phone off and drive my bus for 2 hours and now i see we won 23-16.

It was close, but not quite a nail biter.  Matty Ice threw a red zone INT and we had a nice long drive that ended with a FG to ice them.

no one has to. that’s fine. but if you’re going to take the time to look it up, as that poster did, then it’s pretty damn suspect to not then answer the question correctly. you don’t have to defend them, btw. you had nothing to do with the conversation.

i knew how long it had been. longer than it should have been for the money we’re paying mccaffrey. i’m fine with davis. i’m not fine with tying up huge chunks of cap in low value positions.

no, it worked fine. the person who quoted me carefully avoided answering the question, as did the people who pied their post. you can say that my question was in bad faith but you can’t say it was worse than the attempt to “answer“ it lol. some players get a pass for performing poorly (statistically) for periods of time on this forum where others do not. some players don’t get the benefit of ridiculous hype based on box score numbers where others do. in the 10 games since the last time mccaffrey broke 6 yards per carry (in which he was healthy enough to play), he has averaged 4 yards per attempt. if you just take the first two games of this season that number dips below 4. now we can talk about the context surrounding those numbers. but i don’t want to hear it from a single person who wants to obscure the context of bridgewater’s numbers, hiding behind stat lines instead of what anyone who has watched the games can see.

Fair enough.  As I said, I really wasn't try to defend whomever it is your question was directed at.

I agree that there is a boatload of context to Davis and Teddy's numbers, and comparisons to other starters at their positions, whether they are current Panthers or not, deserves to include that context.

Personally I'm glad we have Davis and think his running style is the perfect compliment to CMC. I think CMC is certainly an every down back but Davis can spell him for long periods, or they can both be on the field since CMC can play the slot so well.  It'll be nice to see what Brady does with both of them TBH.
