Official Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons Gameday Thread

Meanwhile in Washington, Ron Rivera just literally gave up. Punted down 20 under 2 minutes then let the Rams kneel and didn’t use a single one of his 3 timeouts.

So glad he is gone. I should have benched McLaurin on my fantasy team the moment that ding ding announced he was starting Kyle Friggin Allen over their first round pick QB who they desperately need to evaluate in game situations.

Wash is screwed.

RR is a coach that will never outcoach someone, he also doesn't undercoach, it's just a fact with him if you outman a team he can make you win, if you don't you're doomed.  It's why you're seeing what you are in Washington.  He "ra ra'd" the team in week one, since then, exactly what you thought.

This describes Ron perfectly.  Line his 22 up against the opponent's 22 and whoever wins most of those matchups wins the game.  Strategy, well it is spelled "stragedy."

The game was not on here today, no surprise.  A lot of positives from what I can tell, none the least of which is a long scoring drive when the game was still on the line.

As for the Falcons, it looks like they thought the second quarter was the fourth, and avoided the rush by folding early.

Not sure where you're going with this tbh.  Last time we had a starter go for 5.6 yards per carry or more was when Kyle Allen was starting for us in the middle of 2019.  But we've only had CMC for ~two games this season, so it'll be fun to see what he adds back into the offense when he comes back.

oh, the baby goat? lol

”where i’m going with this” is to make simply make note of how eager certain people are to be selective prisoners of the moment. it’s been a constant theme here in the main forum. those people lash out when others do the same to expose the absurdity of it all. they’re pushing thinly veiled agendas and getting super pissed when it’s used against them. that’s all.

you don’t have to come to their defense, btw. that’s a choice.

who am I defending? I'm trying to understand whatever point you're making, honestly.  you're the one that made the post and someone responded with the last time it happened.  so I was trying to figure out wtf you were talking about.

yes they did, they pointed out it happened multiple times last season. that is a direct response to "when did our starting rb last rush for more than 6 yards per carry?" (which Davis didn't end up doing, but that is neither here nor there - we knew he was a beast from last week's >5 YPC).  it may not be the response you want. but it is an accurate response to your question.

edit: and btw plenty of us are prisoners of the moment as a whole.  davis has played awesome for us in this offense and as many of us have said in this thread he better keep getting carries when CMC is back.
