Rappaport on Brady after game

Meh! poo happens! We all forget poo, even on the job sometimes! As long as it's not a safety issue that can lead to injury or death, then no big deal. Sure, if it happens one too many times, you can get fired, but in this case Brady's legacy is damned near untouchable!

I caught about the last two minutes last night.  When I saw Brady's confusion after the fourth down play, my immediate though was "my how the mighty have fallen."

It happens, especially in hurried situations.  But that is not Brady-esque.

I did see CBS report Arians claiming Brady knew what down it was (which was clearly not true) while Brady said he got hung up on the yardage.

As for an earlier question, I have no idea what Arians did to earn the reputation he has as a borderline genius.  I think the reality does not live up to the hype.

Yeah, this is fake.

Arians has been quoted as saying that "everybody" knew it was forth down, but what else would you expect him to say?

Well Arians has zero problem throwing his players under the bus publicly. He's already done it to Brady once this season. He also has a rich history of blaming others for his faults.

Hey Tom, look over to the sideline. The chain crew is always holding a sign to let you know what down it is. No one has to tell you.

Although true and funny, but wasn’t there a Colorado game in the 90s where they got 5 downs bc the guys working the sticks messed up marking what down it was? Brady should have known in his head what down in was, there is no excuse for that, he’s been in the league 20 years.

Brady needs to come clean and admit he lost track.  Instead, when asked about it post-game he gave a pence non-answer.

At first Arians said "of course everyone knew it was 4th down"..... but after seeing the tape, and realizing Brady was not accepting responsibility, the media gets the lame "I don't know what is in Tom's head".

To me, trying to cover this up is much more revealing and interesting than the actual gaff itself.

Cam got lots of heat for his side-line acting, but brady has always acted like a spoiled brat throwing temper tampers too. I loved when Sherman got in face after one of those games, thats makes up for loads of other terrible takes he has.

I did say before the season Arians would put his infamous "quit" move after this failure of season, thats still looking good. Brady is a poor fit for that system, hes use to throwing passes to slot guys and not bombs to Goodwin/Evans. Brady shouldnt gotten brain-washed by Bill into taking less money and just retired as the Goat.
