Why do I have to pick a side? I didn’t make an insane post about how the Panthers are guaranteed to beat the Falcons and we are already 3-2. I just said they could and stated reasons why. And there’s a lot of things to be positive about especially after the last game.

The Falcons HAVE owned the Panthers and I made that VERY clear in my post. The Chargers DID gift the Panthers a win. But, they thoroughly demolished the Cardinals a week later so opinions can change.

I’ve gotten more positive as the season goes on, I just don’t like seeing ridiculous unabashed guarantees when we’re talking about teams that have completely owned us.

There's optimism...neutrality...pessimism.......and then there's anti-optimism, which is the behavior you showed in your quote I posted.  You constantly bounce between both extremes on the spectrum, which is what I mean when I say "pick a side".  If people being like "Hell yeah we're totally gonna crush the Falcons!" pisses you off that much, then you're probably the absolute worst person to be making positivity threads.

Seriously? "Stupid idiot fans need to shut up about us even thinking about beating them"?  Then you post this?  Are you a "stupid idiot fan" yourself now?  I'll tell you one thing...you could definitely have a strong future in politics with this level of flip-floppery and backpedaling.

All I ask is that you chill out a bit with all the hatefulness that you sprinkle in between your positivity threads.  Then maybe these would come across as a bit more genuine and less as a ploy for pie or something.

WTF is wrong with you that you catalog people's feelings on an internet message board and then drag them around with you from thread to thread?

"Pick a side." Is this a fuging war that I am unaware of? Because the "positive" thing is always to berate people for changing their minds, right?

Gosh WTF is wrong with me for wanting to hold people accountable for what they say on here...gee golly, so messed up.

How are you still confused at what I mean when I say “pick a side”? How about “pick a stance”...is that better? “Stop expressing completely contradictory sentiments”? If by “war”, you mean a war within himself...then sure.

Let me give you a brief historical synopsis on the OP:

-Throughout most of the off-season and into weeks 1 and 2, he was your typical doom and gloomer, going on and on about how we’re gonna suck and we could go 0-16, we’re talentless, blah blah whatever that’s fine...that was a common sentiment on here, I don’t care.

-Then out of nowhere, he conjures up some warm fuzzies from the deep dark recesses of his brain to make a thread about how inspired he is about all the optimism he sees from fans on the boards. This was just before the Chargers game.

-Then, after we beat the Chargers, he makes that post that I dragged into here. Now go back and re-read what I said above. He made a thread...talking about how inspired he was by all the optimism on these boards......then lambasted those people expressing the kind of optimism he was supposedly so inspired by. “Those stupid idiot fans need to shut up!” “The Chargers should’ve destroyed us and we still are a terrible team...these idiot fans with their positivity need to stop acting like we’re suddenly contenders!!!”.

-Now here we are, back once again to positivity and inspiration and warm fuzzies and kumbaya.

For the sake of simplicity, I’m going to be reductive and just classify his overall positions/outlooks as “negative” and “positive”. So he went from negative, to positive, to negative, to positive. If we lose, or hell even if we win, my money is on him flipping back again to negative. But hey, everyone is allowed to change their minds, right? Even on a weekly basis! Even when it involves insulting people for holding the same beliefs he then opportunistically espouses less than two weeks later.

But sure, how dare I drag in a quote of him calling people “stupid idiot fans” 10 days ago for even suggesting we could beat Atlanta...in a thread about him saying we can beat Atlanta. So out of line. Excuse me for thinking this is all incredibly disingenuous based upon his pattern of behavior.

hahaha holding people accountable on a message board.   the only accountability we get held to is those occasional email notices that we've been put in timeout from rayzor or jeremy, cra or linville for losing our crap and being a'holes.   maybe masterawesome you could ask jeremy if you could be the opinion police.   i think everyone would really like that.   i, for one, would relish it.  maybe the members would have to ask you if they're allowed to change their minds before they actually do it - and then you would be the decider-er.

what do you think everybody?  sounds great doesn't it!!!!!!

For what it’s worth this is 100% a game we’d lose in years past. Riding some momentum and have a chance to go on the road and finish a division rivals seasons.

we’d come out flat and never recover. Let’s see what a 7 year mega contract for coaching does for a team.

Yeah this is definitely true. Not sure what it was with him and Atlanta but they were one of his bugaboos his whole career here. Kinda weird since most players play better vs. their hometown teams.

I think he was pressing---maybe it was the pre-game distractions.
