Accuracy is so important. Ball placement is the hallmark of a legitimately competent QB. The ability to hit a wide receiver in stride maximizes the receiver's strength!

Teddy hasn't left a lot of meat on on the bone these past couple of weeks, and that's a good thing!

his anticipation is underrated. more often than not he's puttin the ball in WR (especially Robby) hands in stride.

don't knock it til you try it. it feels like a weight is lifted off of me. a weight of denial and hatred.

This is the same guy who wanted me to take my crow because I predicted wins the first two games.

If he becomes a franchise qb I’ll eat crow. He needs to put the ball in the end zone. And I want to see him produce game winning drives in the 4th quarter so hopefully he has that opportunity this season. We need to be totally 100% sure on him to pass up on a blue chip qb prospect. It would be awesome if he can become that. One HUGE thing less to worry about and would be awesome for this franchise. But I have my doubts. And nobody should poo on people having doubts. Also Brady isn’t gonna be here forever. So we need to groom an offensive coordinator who can do what Brady does for Bridgewater to maintain success.

the dude scouting in this video does great work. He’s also very high on trey lance. Compared him to Steve McNair.

You bring up some valid points. I would also like to see him sometime this season put together some clutch drives for a game winning TD or FG. I would also like to see him ball out against tougher opponents too. That will be the real tell. If he manages a win or two against some top tier teams, then it might be time to start actually talking "franchise QB".

Solid video.

If Teddy can improve his TD ranking he will finish top 5 in the entire league. Not sure how you argue he can't be a franchise QB at that point.

Well yes if Teddy plays better he will be a franchise QB lol

He’s nowhere near top 5 caliber.  He’s a Sam Bradford / Jimmy G level QB.  Not sure why everyone has a problem with us saying that.  Not like we’re saying he sucks.  But top 5?

I’m not worried about actually winning against tough opponents. Our defense played a good game last Sunday but they still have a long way to go and are suspect. So I wanna see how teddy does against a good/great defense. Losing the game has no impact on his franchise qb status unless he struggles on a game winning drive.

people knocked cam about that all the time even when he was surrounded by a shitty team. But it was obvious he was a franchise qb from day 1

Teddy has been here for 4 games.  No preseason.  He has new OL, new WRs, a new coaching staff, and he is living in a new city.  He is doing a great job--far from a weakness. How do you get better at QB?  improve the OL.  Get a top TE.  Improve the defense so that he gets the ball back more often.

Been saying for a while, what I've seen so far this season is a guy we can build around and yes even a franchise QB.  At 27, we still have a lot of years left in him too especially when you consider the average age of the other 3 starting QB's in division is 39 years old.

I was not sold, but if Teddy continues this trajectory he can ABSOLUTELY be our franchise QB here.  What more do we need from our QB than what he is offering up now?  The passing TDs will come.  Thats about the only knock on him so far.  He had 3 total TDs last week, and I expect at least 3 more this week.  I said before the season (and was laughed at here) that Teddy would finish this year with around 70% completion, 20-28 TDs, 4000 yards and 10-12 INTs.  Looks like I was just about spot on.

Those are Pro Bowl QB numbers.  And definitely good enough to lead us to the playoffs.

I am man enough to admit when I was wrong - and I was wrong about Teddy 2 Gloves.

You're 100% right.  I think a high priority next off season needs to be to add a top flight pass catching TE to this offense.  That is the one thing missing that will send the O to the next level.  We would be unstoppable with someone like OJ Howard.

True. If Teddy shows he can hang with the big dogs (Saints, Chiefs, Packers), regardless of a win or loss, I'll be a believer. I'm eager to see what he does against the Bears defense in 2 weeks. And then the Saints after that, we're gonna find out in these next 4 weeks whether Teddy is for real or not.

Bridgewater is doing exactly what he’s being asked to do in Brady’s system. There’s a lot of QB’s in this league that wouldn’t be able to operate a Joe Brady system.

He goes through his progressions, anticipates throws and knows how to read coverages.

All the people bashing Teddy for his apparent lack of deep throws and passing touchdowns need to watch more things like this to understand the system as a whole.

Chicken or the egg argument - is the system the system and Teddy's a good fit or is the system limited by the QB within it and playing to his strengths?

Again, rational arguments aren't that Teddy isn't/can't be a good quarterback. It's that the seeming deficiency in his game, seeming being the key word because most of us have an open mind to be proven wrong, is an element that is critical to exploiting defenses and ultimately winning Super Bowls. Right now everyone is still coming together and doing it very quickly, so outcomes when Carolina plays a few more quality defenses will continue to tell the story.

I do wish Teddy was a better deep passer but I am slowly coming to terms that isn’t who he is. He’ll never be a bomb it 50+ yards to a wide receiver who catches it in stride for a TD. (I miss Cam, still)
More a pass for 35 yards and then the receiver gets YAC kinda QB. Which isn’t a bad thing right now. Will be interesting how this team fairs against legit Super Bowl contenders like the Packers or Chiefs.
I doubt his TDs was ever reach 20 in a season(I think he is averaging maybe 1 TD a game) but the Panthers are winning so maybe he doesn’t have to be that 20+ TD QB.
