So, are pro players not like the rest of society and capable of staying away from grandparents during football season?

A lot of these guys bring their older parents and grandparents in to live with them. Don’t forget the world a lot of these guys come from.

Also, what happens if you or your wife/gf are the only caregivers for an elderly relative?

My wife is in that situation right now. If we get exposed, her father (old, overweight, heart and lung issues) would be in a very tough situation without her being able to help him.

That’s if we are lucky to know we’ve been exposed.

You think if you show up at work sick and end up testing positive they're just gonna be like, "Ah, fug it! C'mon in! We got poo to do! Ain't gonna let no rona slow us down!"

They're going to work and taking smart precautions like the majority of us should be doing. Not sure why you have to come into any and every COVID thread and Fox News it up.

You would know quite a bit more about Fox News than I so you'll have to fill us in.

The point is, if you are going to play, and not opt out, then make your preparations.  Which means, "I am going to be with 75 guys every day, in their face"

Maybe, I take precautions and tell the family that we will have to be separate.  Most people do that now even though they are not, young, pro athletes.

If you are going to live with your grandparents who have all sorts of conditions, they why are you risking their lives by practicing football each day and bringing home whatever?

My parents are in their 70's and 80's and we have made a lot of changes in their lives and who they are around.  Pro athletes aren't doing the same?  Maybe you can check Fox and let us know their thoughts.

Is there an actual point you're trying to make or are you ranting just to rant? The NFL has taken precautions, hence why we're having games delayed and rescheduled due to positive tests. Maybe their precautions will end up being sufficient to play a full season and maybe they won't be. We'll see. None of what you're ranting about is relevant to the NFL season past the opt out deadline and just makes you come across as tone deaf as fug.

These athletes can write a check today for the house you and I will have to pay on a mortgage for 15 or 30 years...

I think a 750k-30 million dollar salary can adequately pay for care for grandparents if you have to work. 150k for a new decent home, 120k for 2 dedicated medical professionals during covid-19.

There was an opt-out clause they were allowed to use if they had no choice, the rest of America doesn't get this excuse, they shouldn't either.

They had a third option. Work with their employer to put in place a plan to try and mitigate Covid’s impact. That’s exactly what they are doing.

Why are you demanding a private business do things your way? It’s their ish, let them deal with it how they want.

Look a few team are going to have a player or two get convid, no matter what. NFL has allowed many rule changes to combat this(IR 3 weeks, big PS, 2 gameday call ups etc). Just do not do what the Titans did and keep marching on. Panther, Failcons, Rams, and many other teams have had a couple cases of convid and got it under control. You have to go back to start and treat everyone in the building like they already have convid.
