why not play alex?

Not ready. The only reason they are holding him is that basically his salary this year was guaranteed so releasing him meant no gain and the loss of the ability to trade him at the end of the year. I’d highly doubt he plays a snap but I think they are still hoping they can trade him instead of releasing him before next year.

Rivera got upset that Haskins wasn’t his savior like he had for so many years and benched him  within a few games lmao.

I’m sure he’s shooting for a new savior in the draft so he can continue to poo out terrible defenses and archaic coaching/management decisions all while getting another round of coach of the year awards.

Hopefully the next guy won’t get his head and body illegally blasted as the cost.

Ron must still have his Account active on here. He definitely has joined the Tank for Trevor legion .

I'm making my triumphant return to the Huddle to say we should absolutely trade for Dwayne Haskins. We would obviously have a favorable trade partner as we gave Ron Kyle Allen in the first place. Have Ron take his pick of Will Grier or PJ Walker and a 6th round pick and give us Dwayne.

You know he is like 36 or 37.  There may be no next year for Alex Smith.  Leg working fine or not.

Yeah I doubt he'll ever start a game again, but we've seen crazier things. If he does I can't imagine he'd be ready this year but next year is more possible, despite the age.

I could see him starting Week 17 when Washington is long out of contention as a salute to him getting healthy and being able to play in one last game. Maybe he plays a series or two and then sits.

lol my bad.  the football team.

and seriously, just rename the damn team already.   Should of done it before the season started.

Had more to do with marketing and merchandizing than anything else, I'd guess. Or they are cross referencing every option versus the Urban Dictionary first.
