"TIME: On Sept. 28th, news came out that the NHL has conducted 33,174 COVID-19 tests in its Toronto and Edmonton bubbles, with zero positives. What was the key to getting to that number?"

Thats 552 tests a day. The key is quarantine/bubble.

Canadian socialized medicine at its finest perhaps?

And?! Seriously, so what? Does he have severe symptoms? Hospitalized? Death? At this point does everyone who tests positive in this country need to be recognized and talked about? How about instead of losing our poo over cases, we actually keep track of what matters, deaths and hospitalizations.

Between the NHL, MLB, NFL and NBA as well as soccer, not one, not a single one person who tested positive had to be hospitalized and died and a vast majority where asymptomatic or just mildly symptomatic. It seems like it’s to the point now that getting Covid is some badge of honor or something. Cam isn’t even symptomatic and there are even talks of him possibly trying to play this Sunday

Do you really not yet know that the concern isn’t limited to the risk to these world class athletes, it’s that every infected person becomes a node of transmission with the potential to infect many others? When that starts happening, the spread is exponential and tends to eventually reach those that ARE higher risk, whether they know it or not and whether we’d generally assume they were or not. NFL organizations also consist of many more personnel than every other you identified which only exacerbates the issue.

Most of the players are going to be very low risk. That isn't true of a lot of coaches, family members, etc. It baffles me that this needs explaining.

Where are you getting that from?  He tested positive for sure, he has just not had any symptoms.

Where am I getting that he tested negative from? It’s been reported and he’s already been cleared to play on Sunday and can return to practice before then. They have to test negative twice then they can return 5 days from that.

People have a right to be overly cautious when 210k+ people have died and tens of thousands more still have symptoms months later. Difficulty breathing, loss of taste and smell, heart palpitations.

You were on here banging the drum about how you won’t wear a mask unless it’s required in a store. you downplayed this from the beginning and look what has happened. Calling you an idiot doesn’t even begin to describe what you are.

Well not wearing a mask is not really down playing it, because wearing a mask is actually a personal choice when it comes to any disease really. I do not wear a mask unless required, and the Virus exist. The whole issue is  people think there is only two choices/reactions with the Virus... Downplay it, or being overly cautious. How about just being cautious, but not causing fear and chaos, but not calling it a Hoax? Can this not be done anymore?

Not true, can you quote a single source?

What’s been reported is that he may be able to play on Sunday if he tests negative. That hasn’t actually happened.

The NFL royally F*CKED this season up. They could have done SO much more to prevent these kind of things from happening, but they're too greedy and stupid to do it. They SHOULD have followed the NBA and NHL model of having a bubble (could have had a bubble per division and an adjusted season schedule), but nope. On a lesser note, they could have stretched out the season and added more bye weeks to account for inevitable positive tests and rescheduling of games. Nope. They have a freaking positive test for Cam Newton come in on Saturday, and still played the game on MONDAY. Like there isn't a chance of an incubation period for these players who got exposed. Now I'm 100% sure more Patriots and probably even Chiefs players and coaches are positive.

They deserve this sh!tshow and I hope they lose millions from it. F*ck the greedy idiots that run the NFL. I hope they all get virus too.

should have played a shortened season.  Just ran divisional games in bubbles and gone straight into the playoffs off that.  Imperfect but this is COVID.

I know a asymptomatic person that tested positive for nearly a month trying to get back to work.

Wow, so that makes you wonder if you test positive are you spreading it, or is there is a window? The science has not been set in stone on this.
