Curtis Samuel needs to show out against the Falcons

I wouldn’t call him great. I think of DJ on the verge of dropping off more than stepping up. I think he has a motivation issue and hoping the new coaching staff can help him. We can’t have Smitty always calling him out to get night and day performance out of him. But motivation issues absolutely kill players.

I’d say at this point Samuel and DJ are both battling to be decent #3 receivers which is pretty awful considering the investment. #2 might be their ceilings if DJ can be motivated and more importantly maintain that. Not sure about Samuel.

Anderson seems like a legit #2.

Panthers still need that dominating threat for red zone or make other team adjust. The biggest issue I see right now is no receiver on the team demands attention. Robby is getting there but it’s going to be tough going against good DBs if they’re llowed to play man and load up the line  and it not be an issue.

I think Anderson is making a case for being a #1 receiver. He has been clutch on several third downs. The issue for me is the lack of tight ends who can do the dirty work in the redzone. You are going to be working on a linebacker or safety which should be a favorable matchup. But we get nada production.
