I would have done that at his age but it’s stupid.

He has 30 mil guaranteed. After agent fees and taxes he keeps 15 mil.

So he just spend around half of his money (and whatever he saved of his rookie money) on a house that won’t appreciate. Big custom lake Norman houses never do.

Yeah, he’ll prob make the rest of his 64 mil contract, but nothing is guaranteed.

Sure, but you haven't even considered his endorsement money, which dwarfs his NFL salary.

Kinda sorta.

He needs write offs, he probably got it on a 15 year loan in the low 2% range.

40K per month or so, plus taxes and insurance, much less with a 30 year.

Again, not my style, but to each his own.

He will most likely be a the Perth Road Harris Teeter, since it is the closest to this house... if he shops.

Yep.  I live one neighborhood down.  It's interesting who you see in that Harris Teeter, and the Publix off of Brawley's.

And they all want my autograph.

When you have that much money you've gotta spend it on something but I've never understood the allure of having a huge house.

When you get asked for autographs everywhere you go, leaving the house becomes less appealing. You’d start to feel cooped up real quick in a 3-4K sqft house.

I’m kind of surprised that 7.5 is the record for most expensive residential transaction in the region.

I don’t think it is. I’m pretty sure there was another place on Norman that went for 11 some years ago.

True but I doubt Ms. Culpo will be doing much mopping.

I believe there's this one popular song that goes along the lines of, "(She) don't cook, (she) don't clean", but as the song goes on, they may indeed need "a bucket and a mop".
