They're not a bad team at all.

The Chargers are not a bad team either. They took the Super Bowl champs to overtime and just gave Tom Brady and the Bucs all they could handle despite having major injuries. They looked their worst against us.

The last 2 weeks I believe are indicative of what this young Panther team is as oppose to the first 2 weeks. Unless we have a game where we turn the ball over 3 or 4 times as was with Tampa I don't see this team being overmatched by anyone.

I'm feeling something dangerous about this Panthers team.

Think about this.  Matt Rhule... Phil Snow... Joe Brady, none of them EVER coached as a coordinator or HC in the NFL before.  All of them.  You can't find another team in the NFL like that.  That doesn't happen.  And not just that, but it wasn't even the preseason.  It was the regular season.

These guys are just getting comfortable.  And the team seems to be buying in.  I think I'm buying too.  We have a very winnable upcoming schedule (Falcons, Bears, Saints, Falcons).  Not saying we're gonna run the table or anything, but this team is really growing in sync all-around and it's great to see.  I think it makes us one of the hardest teams to prepare for, in a way.

I think we win 3 of these next 4. Aints is the most likely loss but could certainly see us winning that and dropping one of the others, but the way we've played so far I'm pretty confident in these next 4 games.

(15) NFL.comThe Panthers have something in the pairing of Teddy Bridgewater and 31-year-old offensive coordinator Joe Brady. Carolina appeared to be in major trouble when Christian McCaffrey went down with an ankle injury in Week 2, but the offense has put up points with ease in two straight wins since the All-Pro running back was moved to IR. Bridgewater is thriving, and that 18-yard touchdown scramble -- his first scoring run since his horrific knee injury in the summer of '16 -- told the story of a player who's made it all the way back. The defense also deserves credit: After managing a league-low nine QB pressures in the first two weeks, per Next Gen Stats, the pass rush has come to life behind Brian Burns and Yetur Gross-Matos.

The Panthers are certified frisky.

Dude, cmon. The Raiders have had a HARD schedule.Their first 4 weeks was Panthers, Saints, Patriots, Bills. Week 5 is the Chiefs.

I put the Raiders in the same category as us, able to beat bad teams but not capable of competing with good ones.

Spot on.

Been thinking about talent and Rhule's ability to coach players up.

It's widely known when at Baylor he was going up against teams who had  tons of 4 & 5 star talent far superior to what Rhule had on his sideline --- the talent gap was vast --- yet Ruhle's teams were competitive & won.

In the NFL every single player is a professional.

Sure, there's a talent gap but seems to me broadly across the NFL the talent gap is more narrow than Baylor vs. Texas.

Some had doubts about Rhule's ability to transition from college to the NFL, he's certainly proven that wasn't a problem.

Something called PFF in partnership with ESPN ranked all NFL teams on roster strength, Panthers came in at #29:  https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-roster-rankings-all-32-teams-ravens-first-jaguars-last

At this point in the season the Panthers have to be considered average, if not slightly above average, -- 12 teams have a better record, 14 teams have a worse record, 6 teams are tied at 2-2.

Give Rhule & Marty 3 more years to build the roster as Rhule wants it to be, combine that with his ability to coach up players --- the sky is the limit!
