Why Winning Now Will Cost Us About 15 Years

For someone so condescending, you’re not very good at displaying intelligence.

It is in no way, shape or form where we were last year except for the same record. A better, more creative coaching staff, a better starting QB, a better WR corps and players willing to fight for their coach.

Is this team a playoff team now? No. Will it be a playoff team within two seasons? Absolutely. At the latest.

Do I trust Marty Hurney to build a winner? No, not really. But he made the moves that got us three points from a Lombardi in 2003 and there’s no guarantee he’s here after this year anyway. Now, some questions for you:

Is an 0-16 team magically a playoff team with Trevor Lawrence? How about a 1-15 team?

Do you think Matt Rhule, Joe Brady and Phil Snow are incapable of coaching a team to the playoffs?

If you were unhappy last year because we were losing and are unhappy this year because we’ve won two in a row, what makes you a fan?

You're just speaking on your wishes.  I'm without question smarter than you and have a better athletic record than you.

But keep rambling.

That is my point.

First or last is what I want.

Nothing in between.

And I agree with your point. People seem to forget teams that win the super bowl generally have future hall of fame talent or high end draft picks that propelled them there. I think teddy if fine if you have the 2015 panthers defense. He can drive you there, but can he carry you there? I dont think so. The talent we had to do that then was arguably the greatest dual threat player of all time, thrown to the likes of ted Ginn.

We dont have those horses in the stable right now.  Sure wining a few games feels good now but its gonna suck when we're picking 14th Lawrence gone, fields gone, and were just waiting on whatever trickles down the pipe just to repeat the same next season.

No but he was a member of the raiders while Stabler was.

So my point remains.

Going out and finding a second stud within 15 years of your first one.

Lol Lol Lol Plunket was a first overall bust on his third team when he was signed by the Raiders you don't have a point and your feeble atempts to change the rules of a discussion every time your wrong is hilarious.

Nope. I made it clear. Two different QBs never on same roster.

Panthers

Ravens

That's all I can really think of.

As a draftnik, I partially agree with you. I feel like those who have that win for the sake of the team moral are mistaken. All wins are meaningless if your not making it to the playoffs and have the talent to make some noise. Is this a playoff roster??? May in the NFL east. My biggest fear is ending up like the hornets middle of the road.

Right at the edge of playoff picture and sliding in only to get bludgeoned in the head in the first round year after year. To good to get a top 10 pick but bad enough where your no where close to seriously contending.

Chuck agreeing with you should be a huge red flag.

It's 2020 the mods can neither prove nor disprove your status as the 1,768,977,353,128,907th reincarnation.... Unfortunately in that aspect you are like God.

I can assure you I am not Chuck.

That's all I can do.

Something maybe even more rare then an Elite QB..... Elite coaching and I believe we have finally found an elite coach. Not just an Elite coach but coordinators to go along with the coach. Now I'm hoping Tepper will be able to pay said coordinators enough to keep them for more then 3 years.
