When you don't double Derrick brown.

What did the dumbshits over at PFF grade him, -34.7???

Hes done these things in each game, all you have to do is watch him. PFF and other the posters hating on him are brainlets. He is getting towards the scary category,  in the future OLmen maybe calling the cops on him.

You know what I noticed in that last clip?  Zach Kerr just KILLED his guy.

It looked the the RG / C were double teaming Brown, but it wasn't exactly that.  The C was just helping get Brown stopped but was actually trying to get up to the next level and kick Tahir Whitehead out of the hole.  The LG was supposed to leverage Kerr further to the offensive left but Kerr wasn't having any.

RB then tried to cut it back but Obada played his assignment well and didn't crash down.

Example 1

This is what happens when teams allow their center to take Derrick Brown on without help.

Special shout out to Brian burns here also by not over pursuing. That is discipline.

Example 2

Again, KK is doubled leaving the center on Brown. Similar result.

Example 3

But even when you do give the center some help, Derrick Brown still disrupts the play.

Derrick won't get on the stat sheet for this particular play, but he absolutely disrupted the play enough to allow Obada to make the tackle. It looked like a hole may have opened up to the left until Derrick Brown swallowed it.

KK looks to only be in example 1 in which he does a pretty good job of splitting the double. The other 2 are Zach Kerr.. who does okay holding his ground/anchoring the middle in example 2 and splitting the double arguably forcing the RB to jump cut inside into Brown and Obada on example 3.

Derrick does look great though. Crazy how strong he is already and to see it translate immediately to the NFL.
