When i was in chemo even ordinary tasks like getting milk from the fridge became more difficult from fatigue and how weak my body felt. Keep pounding Ron, kick cancers ass!

I've never been in chemotherapy (and I hope I never will) but I have been in a situation where my body was so depleted that I couldn't even take care of myself.

It absolutely sucked.

I'm not a doctor, but doesn't chemotherapy also have an effect on the immune system?

That'd add an extra level of scary right now if so.

I believe you are correct.  I am not a doctor, or anything in the health field.....nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. 

I wish Ron the best, and he should take time off not only to kick this thing's arse, but to protect himself.  For all the guy's shortcomings as a coach, he is a quality person.

I made a good amount of the old Stoic Ron memes here, and I criticized the hell out of him at times when he was our coach.

But, I hate to see anyone, especially someone who did come across as a good dude off the field, hurting under such a disease as cancer.

I believe Ron was/is a genuine good guy and I hope he gets through this.

Stay home and rest. It isn't worth it, right now especially.

For all the times I criticized rivera, I also cheered for him.

He's such a good guy I found myself really wishing he would fix his coaching deficiencies.

Official word from Rivera is that he has three more weeks of cancer treatment and he plans to keep coaching through all of it.

Genuinely wish he'd change his mind about that, but he says that's who he is.

Yeah, my bro-in-law just finished Chemo treatments the week before last. He's still getting radiation treatments now. It was a bitch of an experience for him, especially weeks three through seven. The cancer is gone though! My sister-in-law says he has been quite ornery this past week, so hecmust be feeling better, even though when she asks him, he says he feels like sh;t! 

It's rough, but Coach will make it through!
