do you understand his injury? it was basically this

Oh yeah, my job is in Sport medicine. I am just saying that he "stats" are average to above average currently, he has a 2-2 record and he wasn't hurt last year. Not to mention Big Ben with a 3-0 team currently, Cam and the patriots thing and Aldon Smith projecting 16 sacks with the Cowboys are going to be tough to beat. He will need to show out more

If teddy just had a few more TDs, he'd be in the top 5 QB argument right now. Stats don't lie. He's among the best right now. We lost one game due in large to the defense (Whitehead) literally giving it away

He really wouldn’t. He’s top 5 in 2 categories, yards and completion percentage. He won’t be top 5 in yards after tonight.

He’s making an argument to be included in the 2nd tier, but he’s not really close to the top tier with Wilson, Mahomes, Rodgers and Jackson. Josh Allen and Dak are guys in the top 5 argument.

There isn’t actually criteria for the award except overcoming adversity

Teddy went undefeated last season and earned himself a high paying starting job.   I mean, I know the award is vague I just don't see how he can qualify for it.   In the NFL world, his injury was a lifetime ago.

As someone who watched live games where Teddy Bridgewater would break ankles like that regularly for the Vikings, when he went down with that horrific knee injury, out of the many layers of acceptance of what Teddy would not be able to if he could return was a consensus understanding that Teddy would likely need to eliminate runs from his game, and especially those deep cut ankle breaker runs.  Which was a shame because, as you saw in this game, he's really F'N good at those kinds of runs.

So for my eyes to see him do that now, and his leg not snapping off, was just amazing, and I guarantee you that Teddy Bridgewater, a man of strong faith who never takes a moment for granted, was over the moon with the full understanding that he did something he probably never thought he'd be able to do again.

He's literally hanging with Wilson, Josh Allen and Dak in every category but TDs. Like within a deviation of every stat.

He’s behind those 3 in literally every stat except completion percentage. To even be in an argument to be better those guys he needs to be beating them in more than one stat especially since he isn’t even beating them by much in that stat.

Derek Carr has very similar stats to Teddy except he has 8 TDs and 0 INTs. No one is talking about Derek Carr as a top 5 QB and rightfully so.

I don't think Teddy meets the criteria for comeback player of the year.

What's he even coming back from?  I know the knee injury is a sad story, but that was years ago.  Ain't like the dude's been out of the league.  He started and did reasonably well for the Saints last year.

Yep, I attended my fair share of games in Minny back in 2014/2015, I was even there for the playoff game against Seattle. That fan base in Minny was super excited about Teddy and if you go back and watch the few plays he made in the pre season in 2016 he was well on his way to taking that next step to being what many Vikings fans believed to be their franchise QB.

Yesterday’s TD run reminded me of this run he had in the preseason of 2016 just before his injury...

Not to mention he makes a couple really nice throws after that run as well

David Carr hasn't played since 2012 but Derrick is having a good  season. What about the stats is lying?

How did you end up correcting him and still butcher the man's name lol?  (Derek)
