I definitely wrote the Cardinals off as a loss.

I think they were outcoached, which is promising imho. That's why I am somewhat more optimistic.

Let's see what Atlanta does tonight and when we go down to ATL before we get too eager to get our hopes up.

Yeah. Rivera couldn't seem to beat Atlanta toward the end. I hope Rhule can do a better job. I really don't like Atlanta and their fans.

I'd be content with a continuation of the progress I am seeing, regardless of wins.  Truth is, they are well ahead of where I thought they would be at this point, or maybe any point this year.

If that progress leads to 6 wins, I'd be more than content.  8 would be quite an achievement.

If they post 10 wins, I'd personally be on the bandwagon for giving Rhule a Nobel Prize!

I think part of the reason I was down in previous weeks is because we were terrible over the top on defense and on the pass rush.

This game changed that perception. We held our own with the best WR in football right now, an HOF WR, and a good young guy.

We also got to the QB, who is indeed still young and learning, but we did a good job.

We also found the end zone, and showed that we can still run the ball with a patchwork line and without CMC. Both of those were improvements over previous weeks.

We are definitely trending upwards, but there is still a lot of football to be played.

Hopkins also didn’t practice during the week because of injury....so how healthy he was is at least debatable.

Kirk was also limited all week and had missed games prior.

So I’m still hesitant we can really contain some of the passing attacks headed are way.  BUT the front is doing a better job at getting to the QB as things get rolling.

I bet a bundle on Over 5 1/2W, pre-season.  As of now, I am ecstatic with hope.

Off their recent performances, Falcons and Bears are both struggling and beatable.  We are trending up, and they are doing the opposite.  Plus the Falcons play tonight, so get us with 1 day's fewer rest.

Might as well be optimistic while we can.

The thing I have been most impressed w/ the last 2 weeks is we haven't allowed opposing RBs to have a field day vs us.  Very good day vs AZ.  Respectable vs Chargers give what we have done in recent times.
