Teddy didn't get the memo

Teddy was brought in because we needed someone that could run Brady's offense, and Teddy needed a team where he could show he can be the guy.  So far, Teddy is running the offense and doing what is asked of him.  But we would have beat TB if not for his turnovers.

If Teddy shows he can be the guy, he'll get an extension and be here long term.  Today was a step in that direction.

If he doesn't (and maybe even if he does), we'll be drafting a QB to groom.

Nice try. Keep hiding behind the mask. It is corona time during Halloween so the mask will help you make it through this month.

Chuck you have been banned once a week for like the last three years.... I'm starting to think carolina chuck and all of his alts have been in fact the work of uncfan888

Teddy's Stats extrapolated over 16 games

4588 pass yards 16 tds 12 int

280 rush yards 4  tds

Passing Yards would have been ranked 5 last year.  Touchdowns would be ranked 25 last year.

If he could get a few more touchdowns it would look a lot better, I think he is trending that way

The TDs are interesting. Early on McC was dominant in the redzone and got those TDs. Then we had a game where we couldn't do poo in the redzone for whatever reason. Also, we don't really have any players on the roster who I'd consider "red-zone weapons." 1 passing TD per game is not ideal for a starting QB even with a ton of yards like that, but I do think that he'll pick up the pace in that regard at some point.

I'm pleasantly surprised with Teddy's play overall this year. Bucs game was a disaster that was avoidable and we could've won that game if he protected the ball, but through 4 games you can't ask for much better overall from him. Still not fully convinced he'll be the starter here in 2-3 years and beyond, but I do think it's more likely now than it was before the season. Lawrence/Fields likely ain't happening. Maybe Lance but at this rate he probably won't be in play either. Definitely still see this staff handpicking a QB in the draft to develop, whether on day 1 or day 2, unless they somehow are truly very high on PJ/Grier--but I'm not sure I buy that.

Qb stats don't really matter as much. Passing for 2-300 a game and a td is expected as the minimums in this league. The category that matters is a qbs ability to win when it counts. Those 3rd and longs you complete the deep out. That clutch TD before halftime type of thing.

Know what else I noticed on that list.

6 of the dozen or so QBs listed have losing records. Not including teddy. In which he's .500. and that's what I think we get out of him this year.

This is what I mean by you mystery box mother fugers.

We don't need to take a QB in the first. If the coaching staff likes Teddy, why not build a team (something that is more flexible for long term success) instead of rolling the dice on a first round QB? We don't have to upgrade Teddy this year. We can build up our team first and draft while keeping Teddy, who we can win with.

If Teddy remains consistent there's no reason to say QB is the biggest hole because oh look the new shiny toy this will be the elite

Andy Reid didn't draft Mahomes until 2017. We don't have to replace Teddy now.

Harsh Rags. As a Teddy basher I could not be more pleased with his play today.Havent had that much fun watching our team in quite awhile. I'm done talking him down. He's damn good. Not being a flopper. He showed me he has it. That's what matters.

I'm not saying he is or isn't.  My point was that the team thinks he has the chance to be one.

A lot of posters around here were of the opinion that he was only signed to be a bridge QB, but his contract said otherwise.

I am not sure you really understand his contract.

They also traded their first rounder for the next year for him just an FYI.
