I wouldn’t go that far yet. We win 10 games and then we might be talking about it. But to a Panthers fan, the difference between Rhule and Rivera is so stark is almost blinding. Glad we finally have a competent coach, much less an actual good one hopefully.

Wait, are you really saying that 9 wins out of THIS ROSTER isn't COY consideration worthy?

C'mon bro, we were all debating odds of getting Lawrence with the top pick 2 weeks ago. Despite the wins there still aren't many teams across the league that would trade us rosters straight up. I don't think it should take 10 wins for him to get consideration. It might, but it shouldn't.

Usually coy goes to the coach of a team with a high number of wins, not just one that gets more wins than expected. I don’t necessarily agree with it, but that’s how it usually goes. If we get into the playoffs with 9 wins and win a playoff game or two? Then yea maybe

True. It's all highly subjective anyway. I just think if Rhule takes this team to 9 wins and there isn't leaguewide buzz about the job he's done, it will be yet another indicator of how lame the sports yak culture is.

So when Arizona subbed late and then Rhule sent in the DT and told him to stroll in to force them to call a timeout...how many of you thought the same thing as me....Rivera would have never thought of doing that.

That was brilliant

Think of it this way... the biggest name on our team for today's game, the guy we fielded that most the NFL fans have even heard of was Teddy Bridgewater.

One of the announcers remarked how this was a team playing for each other and he couldn't be more right. Whatever Coach Rhule has been selling, these guys are buying it and believing it. He has put together one scrappy team that can win.

It's way to early for coach of the year talk, but darned if I don't think we've got a guy that will be here for a long time. And I think we can at least start talking about the Panthers being relevant now. And that's something we couldn't have imagined just a month and a half ago.

This is as rookie of a coaching staff and team as you can imagine. Win or lose, these guys are all learning and improving.

It's kinda exciting, huh?
